So have just been through a clomid cycle but as we went private I got scans all the way through to see the size of teh follicles etc - when one was the right size I got an HCG jab to ensure i ovulated within 48 hours. I am also on prgesterone supositories.
anyway...the jab was last monday and stupidly on the following tuesday I did a test (i was told to wait till 2 weeks later but couldnt control myself)
it came up positive and the next day also. 2 days later it was negative and I started spotting brown .
Spoke to consultant and he sent me for HCG blood test that came back with a result of 7.
so just a bit over normal but not enough for hin to say for def I am still or ever was preg.,

My thoughts are that the positive tests were picking up the jab still, the bleeding is implanation spotting and I am pregnant ...going for another blood test on monday to find out for sure either way but not knowing now and all weekend it sooo difficult.

any one else experience this? am I mad to think I could still be pregnant?
I feel dizzy and nauseous a lot but that could just be the progesterone...

anyone?

Hi, l'm a new poster so apologies for no initials! You didn't make any reference to your fertility problem so my info maybe irelevent! I just think that it might be worth everyone trying! My fertility problem was policyctic ovaries and caught with clomiphene for 1st child then couldn't catch with any amount of clomiphene 5 years later, was told l might be too old, hurumph, l took it upon myself to lose weight and avoided sugar like the plague and 4 months later caught naturally. Polycyctic ovaries is now known to be related to diabetes so it makes sense!

Sorry, wasn't really what you were asking for!

Hi,
Those pregnancy tests are just tooooo tempting, aren't they!

My preg tests went negative on about day 9 after the HCG injections. If you were pg you would expect a very rapid rise in HcG between day 11-14ish and the following week.

The bleed could be implantation (I had that for a week - but I did have twins!) or it could be the start of your period.

If I were you I wouldn't be able to resist a test now - if it comes up +ve that is a much better sign that you are pg than going on symptoms, esp if you are on progesterone.

Good luck!

Thanks ladies.
I have polycystic ovaries but had a son 'naturally' 2 years ago.
When I did the first test it was only 8 days after the hcg jab so yes it could well have been the jab results ....
bleeding still brown and getting less - it is really only smears on the loo roll (sorry!)
With my first baby I had some brown spotting every month when my period was due and when I did a preg test with him it was negative at first and positive a week later.
sunday is my period day and going for another blood test on monday so fingers crossed it shows an increase.
I now have no more preg tests in the house and we have agreed not to buy more till next thursday - too tempting otherwise.

I was so silly to have done a test that early...even if i was preg and hadnt had the hcg that is way too early to test - was only a week after ovulation!!
this clomid process has been so emotional I just wanted osme answers you know!!

xx
good luck
