PCOS and TTC! Anyone want to join with me?

I ladies. I have DD1 (almost 3) and DH and I have begun talking about TTC #2. It took nearly 4 years to conceive DD1 and we finally had success with a course of clomid.

I am now in Canada and have just been referred to a new gynecologist who is apparently the leading expert in PCOS in Canada. So hopefully he will be able to help speed things along. I don't think I could take another 4 year wait.

Does anyone else want to join??

Well guys dont know if AF is here or not but having some reddy/pink stuff, enough to need a pad. Hope it stays or I'll be going crazy think of implantation bleeds otherwise! Thats 6 months.

Yayay for lovely AF, good luck for the next cycles!

Not sure what is happening with me at the moment, everything seems to have gone wonky again. First of all got AF at what seemed to be 11 dpo, then raised temperatures for the first 6 days after. Like a fool I thought maybe I was pg despite the bleeding and lack of symptoms so did another test, no joy.

This time round have gone for soy again but taking a bit more than before and will start again on day 14. Am in some ways glad not to be preg over Christmas as I was last year, felt dreadful, and m/c in Jan. Can enjoy myself drink lots of champagne instead.

Regarding ovulation testing. So, if OPK, temping, ferning tests don't work if you have PCOS, does anything?? I suppose EWCM but personally for me that's never worked as a sign, either...

I gave up with my OPKs wish I'd carried on now. Could this bleed mean I've ovulated because it's completely stopped now? Stupid body of mine.

Bodies are annoying - makes you wish you took more notice of what they were doing before ttc!!!!
I'm on CD34 - not sure if ovulated!!!!

So if I did ovulate (i obviously missed it) would it have been nearer to the start of AF or nearer to the end of the last cycle? It is definitly AF by the way, started properly today. This is almost as good as a BFP for me :) :)

that's great baubles, I felt like that this month too FX we get our BFPs next cycle eh?!

So should I do my OPKs every day when AF buggers off? I'll prob be one of those that has AF only twice a year. Might not even be ovulating.

You could try I guess baubles, might be interesting to see if your positives corrolate with ovulation.

I know you are meant to have false positives on OPKs with PCOS but I've never had anything like a positive... very dispiriting

Thats what I'm thinking. But I'm not sure I want to put myself through all the raised spirits because I think I'm ovulating when I'm not. Oh I don't know. got my gynae appt anyhow. 5th Jan.

Have no idea what's going on with mine either. After not bleeding for 3 weeks I had a bleed but only for the friday afternoon, then thought I'd try an OPK just to see on the Sunday if maybe it was an ovulation bleed & I'm convinced it was positive. tried it again two days later & the 2nd line was less & now a week & 1/2 later (nearly 2 weeks after bleed I#ve still not got AF).

In the past two weeks i've had pink/beige discharge, cramps, now have achy & swollen boobs, very irritable (signs of pmt) but weirdly very hungry & if I don't eat heartburn!!!!

3 years now of trying & had every symptom...bloody PCOS!!!!

I have gyne app on Monday!

Oh, fairy, that sounds exciting, do you think maybe you are pg? Fingers crossed!!!

(Not to scare you because this is v. v. v. unlikely but if you are having strong cramps and a LOT of brownish discharge there is a v. small possibility of ectopic - only mentioning just because it's good to catch it early.)

Good luck with your appointments. I have to get through this lot of metformin then I will go back to the doc and she will refer me, hopefully...

I really don't know Lucy. Testing tomorrow but won't be the first time my body messed me around. The brown discharge stopped days ago so don't think ectopic is an option.

My scan came back all clear! Just waiting for results of a blood test now - had last Friday! I may ring Doc's tomorrow to see if they are back yet? Do ya think?

They should be back by now wally I would have thought. You've nothing to lose by asking :) Glad your scan was clear. so no PCOS for you?

Just had a period from hell so def not pg!!!! Really bad pain that leaves me crippled but thankfully only happens about every 3 months (when my cycle is 'normal'). Maybe this moth will be our month???

Oh Fairy I know how you feel.
I'm currently symptom spotting but not due af till mid jan (also once every 3 months)so questioning xmas drinking etc. but don't want to test ... again!
I really hope it will happen soon.

I am having temp issue (boh) in that they seem to have gone up but am not sure, and am meant to have a smear tonight but think I may have to cancel on the v. unlikely chance 1. I ovulated 2. I am preggers. Also need to book a blood test to see if I have, and am not sure whether to do it not or yet. bloody bastard cycles. Ah well. Happy Christmas everyone.

well my blood test came up positive, yay, I did ovulate - not sure where to go from now though as I still don't know when I ovulate and nothing but blood tests seem to indicate it. Am feeling a bit bleugh and sore boobs-ish so this could be my month - we shall see. Ironically enough the last time I had a positive blood test I was pg - but went on to m/c at nine weeks. Also that was over Xmas too.
