The (updated) 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday. Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended). Horse-riding and other dangerous activities are also actively encouraged.

Covet thy husband and enjoy every minute. Shag at ever opportunity - shag-capes and awesome superpowers optional.

Keep acronmyage to a minimum! EWCM is now to be referred to as 'pant snot'. Try not to get sucked in by Fertility Friend (at least for a while), but knowing where you are in your cycle and furkling for pant snot is most definitely allowed. If you're a midwife, you can even get other midwives to furkle for you Grin

Keep us up to date with gossip!

Most of these rules are well and truly broken!! But we try to chill - honest

So glad you got the Clomid miffles

crowette how funny. I've probably seen you out and about - we go there a lot because of family, old friends, etc. Ahhh, glad you fell in love. It's worth it for that!

That was probably my cousin at the bus stop Grin

Anyway, no judgey pants for me anymore. I already told you about when I stood with my boob hanging out in the Wetherspoons on Margate seafront. I wasn't pregnant, but still ...

Plus when I was 16 I got the sack from the McDonalds in Margate because I apparently 'wasn't cut out for the job'.

So maybe it's me that's the problem!

Glad you got AF! Bring on another cycle!

Shock at sexist sex-ed videos cremegg!

Go back on the wine bb. You obviously need it Grin

PMSL for takethat being sacked from McD's Grin

crowette · 02/11/2010 09:27

TTL you may well have! I was born here, brought up in Birchington. Moved away when I was 33 and moved back this year. Now DP is getting itchy feet - he hates it here, feels like he is stagnating, which is how I felt! I want to move back to Scotland, DP says he quite fancies it too, if only it wasn't so cold there (he struggles with the cold, having almost no body fat )

My ex sis in law used to manage the Margate McDonalds Grin

Miffles · 02/11/2010 09:35

Ha ha ha at TTL being sacked from McD's - maybe your actually weren't chav enough! And Crow - your ex SIL managing an unruley TTL. So funny!

Crow - have you seen an NHS gynae? Only cos it could be the same one as me! I'm under East Kent NHS Hospitals - the William Harvey, but the consultants normally cover all the hospitals inc QEQM.

crowette · 02/11/2010 09:43

I'm not sure when my ex sil left there though, would be funny if it was her!

Not got as far as seeing a gynae yet - giving it another couple of cycles. I'm 38, so don't want to leave it too long though. Besides, after my treatment at QEQM when I was MCing (being told I wasn't pregnant in the first place and having my bloods waved in my face and being told 'I'm not even going to bother processing these or referring you to EPU') and my GP then telling me I'm too old and fat so may as well be thankful for the two DDs I already have Hmm I'm not much liking these so called health 'professionals' Sad

aDarkStarWithStrangeWays · 02/11/2010 09:47

So I'm not knocked up this month At least I didn't waste a pregnancy test to find out this time.

Miffles · 02/11/2010 10:02

Crow - that's shocking! So appalling. I hadn't realised you were so badly treated. I have found that sometimes the more lowely staff can be so rude and unpleasant. But the consultants are nice. I just checked and Mr J Davies (my gynae) only works at WHH and RVH, not QEQM Sad

crowette · 02/11/2010 10:26

Not sure about the consultants either Grin when I was PG with my eldest (17yrs ago!) I had my consultant appointment, he asked if I was planning to breast feed, I said no (planning to BF if I get pregnant again though) and he called me a stupid little girl. I'm a stubborn moo bag, so if someone nags me, I'm less likely to do what they want me to! As ex MIL found out - she also called me stupid when I was considering FF and told her I wasn't keen on the idea of BFing, so I went straight out and bought a bottle sterilsing unit :)

Hopefully since then they've got friendlier 'professionals' in!

vallinnapod · 02/11/2010 10:31

Morning Viroids!

Got some cracking period pains going on so fingers crossed it arrives today or tomorrow and I can get sniffing!

TTL you made my day you funny lady! My judgy pants are not sure what to twist more at, the boobage or the fact you were in Wetherspoons Wink I went though a stage at uni where I used to flash regularly occassionally. Only ever the left boob. Clearly much prouder of it than the right...

Even better getting sacked form Maccy D's. I would like to think none of us were/are 'cut out' for a job there, we are all meant for higher things. Although I used to think I should have worked there at uni as it is a sure fire way to curtail a junk food habit Grin

321sanitygone · 02/11/2010 12:03

Helloooooo. I love this thread! Only joined MN yesterday and have been scrabbling round to find a good TTC thread that was supportive but not tooo serious and here you all are!!
We started working on number 3 officially last night i guess lol. I am absolutely determined bnot to calculate my ovulation or take pregnancy tests really early. I did all that whilst TTc number 2 and fook me it got so emotional and when i finally did get that positive test i found out so early i felt like i had been pregnant for 3 years by the time he was born! So hopefuly i'll be able to do it and avoid being slapped with the kipper!

Miffles · 02/11/2010 12:11

Welcome 321 - sounds like you'll fit right in here. Although, if you've read through our thread, you'll realise we're not as sane as we like to make out. Hence the thread kipper!!

Vallinna - glad seems liks AF is on the way. Send her my way, will you! Sounds like she's doing the rounds and bizarelly, we're all pleased to see her!

321sanitygone · 02/11/2010 12:32

Thanks miffles. I started reading through it and got to page 2 and realised that child number 2 was not gonna let me read 23 pages! I'll catch up tonight once he's in bed!

BrassicaBabe · 02/11/2010 12:43

Welcome 321 Maybe you can be the one to bring some sanity to this thread? Wink

Yeah for cramps vallinna Grin

Hmm At 3DPO I wonder when I can start working through my 100 internet pg tests Grin

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 02/11/2010 12:49

Hello and Welcome 321 (great name BTW) I won't wave as I'm likely to inadvertantly throw something at your head, but please come in and make yourself comfortable Grin

Crow which part of Scotland did you to live in?

One thing I've learnt now matter what they're called (chav, bogun, ned, feral, westie, yokel...) these people are the same the world over .. and honestly not sure where I'm going with this, just loving the term judgey pants today. Hmm

vallinnapod · 02/11/2010 13:12

Am bleeding!! Wooohooooo!! Dancey Dancey!! Wooo hooo!! Grin

Going in for a scan tomorrow. Now told being told on short protocol Hmm....oh well. Off to sniff Grin

Welcome 321!

takethatlady · 02/11/2010 13:41

Good luck with the bleeding and the sniffing vallinna. I hereby declare a thread party in your honour :) Oh, and for miffles and her Clomid, and for 321 as a welcome party. Good to have another one in our clutches midst...

crowette that is so shocking from QEQM. What an utter joke. Can't believe your SIL worked in the same Maccy D's Grin I got sacked by a man. He actually said 'Don't cry! When I was your age I got sacked from Dreamland [crappy seaside funfair, for those few members of this thread not from Thanet!]. And now look at me! [40-year-old Duty Manager at McDonald's].' I cried even more.

I did used to hide in the straw cupboard under the stairs though, in an attempt to pass the time ...

OP posts:
BrassicaBabe · 02/11/2010 14:25

Boring conf call! So boring I can MN at the same time! Grin

Grin for "Don't cry! When I was your age I got sacked from Dreamland". Shoot me now then eh?! Wink

Yeah for thread party! There are certainly enough drugs going around!

Miffles · 02/11/2010 14:26

Yay!! Party!! I'll bring helium balloons, so we can all talk in squeeky voices. And Sour Cream and Chive Pringles. Love them at the moment. And lots of wine. And anything chocolate. Maybe some Maccy D straws to make TTL feel at home!! Wink

Miffles · 02/11/2010 14:26

BB - just read the info leaflet on clomid - flipping scary!!

BrassicaBabe · 02/11/2010 14:27

Oops, just made my manager actually LOL on a conf call with big-wigs by sending him an IM "You just agreed to do something illegal with a donkey!" because he wasn't listening.

takethatlady · 02/11/2010 14:30

Grin bb. If you're not careful you'll get the sack. Take it from me Grin

The best thing about the thread party is that I can drink. Woohoo! Apple vodka shots all round ...

OP posts:
Miffles · 02/11/2010 14:35

Apple shots sound great - pass me a couple! Not sure whether BB can be trusted with alcohol though, not when sending those IM to her boss!

BrassicaBabe · 02/11/2010 14:51

miffles I'm normally an information monster, but I didn't read the clomid leaflet Confused

Miffles · 02/11/2010 16:03

Definite spotting when I just went to the loo. Whoop whoop! Never have I been so pleased for my short cycles! Only 12 days since last AF, and I'm not complaining!

Is no one else joining the thread party? Grin

gormers · 02/11/2010 16:36

Hello Hello Hello!!

Have taken a few days off work (semi-emergency planned sick leave/annual leave for incessant vomiting!!) and have spent a large part of the day so far catching up on all the JS threads from where I left off. Blimey - you chicks can chat! And I miss you!! Grin

And look, I've walked straight in on a party! Such timing!! Before I don a party hat, blow a streamer, pick up my first alcoholic drink in far too long, and change the party music to Living On A Prayer (Ultimate Choone!), I firstly must say a massive "Whoop Whoop" to Vallinna!! Grin Grin Grin

Hello to all the new faces, good to see that our JS antics don't scare off all the fresh-faced triers!! Although would Frak really approve of the escalation of rule-breakage?! Wink I'm sure's she mellowed now, as the relaxin hormone kicks in - allow those rules to bend and stretch a leetle more!!

takethat - I am LOVING the fact you got sacked from MaccyDs!!

And Miffles, love your party dress!! Wear it now whilst you can!x Ahh, for a slinky dress...

Anyhoo, some exciting news is that after vomiting every day (sometimes 8 times!) for over 10 weeks, I now haven't been sick for 2 days Shock (well, such a small amount this morning that I barely count it compared to my now normal standards!). Maybe, at 17 weeks, just maybe, the 'morning' sickness is over, and I may be about to start glowing???? Crickey, pass me a champagne cocktail and a party popper someone!!

Good to catch up with you all, might hang out here a bit more if that's ok.x
