evap lines and CB test

To give little background DP and I have been TTC for 18 months and after a SA told chances of natural prgnancy are pretty slim to none to go back after 3 months for another test but expect ICSI being the route.

So this month I have not monitored ov signs, but I am now 10 days late. I have had one cycle where is just missed a period and others when I have been a week late due to stress etc.

So I did a CB test last night and within the time limit the faintest of lines (I am talking really really faint) came up which although was still faint was bolder after a while and is visable this morning.

So to eliminate doubt I went out and bought a CB digital - but that said not pregnant.

I know digital ones are not as sensitive but you would have thought it would have come up by now is 24 DPO!

Feel like I am on an emotional rollarcoster as I want it to be a positive so so much but think I am just kidding myself.

Has anyone had similar experience, what should I do?

How confusing!

If I were you, I'd wait another few days and test again.

Very hard though, as surely at 24DPO a positive would turn up...

but if you're not pregnant, why no AF?

The faint line is promising... a line is a line and all that.

If you can bear it, you will just have to wait a few more days and test again.

Hope it turns into a BFP for you!!

The faint line is indeed promising. Do try and wait a few days and then test again, with the early am pee.

Also, remember that you shouldn't read a pg test after 10 mins for a reason - there may be a line when there shouldn't be or not be a line where there should.

I hope you're posting back in a couple of days with some good news!

Thanks for the replies, I will wait a couple of days and test again (with a different brand).

I will let you know how I get on.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but CB are notorious for evaps. If its a skinny line on the left side of where you would expect the line to be, and there is no "fat" fainter line next to it, then its probably a false +.
I've seen a clearly visible skinny line in about 50% of the CB tests I have done. And I was not pregnant 100% of the time. They are a rip off and give false hope.

That was it just to the side of where it should be. You haven't shattered my bubble but given me closure, so thank you. However will not be using cb again!!

Thank you too for that. Confirmed what I thought really - did stupidly early Blush clearblue test today, faint line. First Response (double Blush) later, no line. It's really bad that they do that.
