How soon would you tell your boss?

TTC #1 and currently waiting to test but symptoms suggest I may be PG.

Just interested to know how soon people have told their bosses they are pregnant?

on both occasions I told my boss the day after I found out. I wanted them to have as much notice as possible, but made it clear that I was only telling them, it was early days and I wouldn't be telling my colleagues for a while.

I've always told my boss pretty early - but she and I are friends as well as colleagues and I trusted her not to tell. With 2 pregs I needed time off because of early mc - so was glad I'd told her

I told my boss pretty early but mainly because I had awful morning sickness and didn't want to get into trouble for having lots of time off. I wanted her understanding.

However, she did make me tell my colleagues really early out of "fairness" because they were picking up the slack when I was off (I wasn't off that much, less than a week in total).

I wish I hadn't agreed to that now. My colleagues were great but it was too soon to share my news really.
