What do you think - OPK/BB questions...

This is our first month TTC (well we had a practice run last month but given it was my first AF for 2.5 years it was a bit half-hearted/unknown) and I am trying to monitor my cycles but:

• had EWCM from CD10-17
• no positive OPK - tested once a day from CD9 (usually in the evening but at the weekend I did it in the afternoon)
• temps have been fluctuating, had 3 rises on CD13-15 but now back down again but using DS's digital thermometer and range is only 1 decimal point plus if I take my temp 3 times I get up to 4 decimal point range over the course of a minute so not sure how accurate it is. I have just bought a proper BBT for next cycle
• had sharp pains in right side of abdomen on CD13 and pains lower down on CD17

I'm using FF but it can't determine anything yet.

So, what do you think? How likely is it that I have OV-ed this month?

Sounds to me like you haven't ovved yet. If you had ovved you would see a sustained temp shift. You do need to use a proper BBT but you know that. Degree of temp shift varies between women though but I imagine the thermometer you used should pick up a broad pattern.

I tend to have longish cycles and have two or three patches of EWCM as my body is trying to gear itself up to ov so you may yet do so.

Why is this your first cycle for 2.5 years - sometimes it takes a couple of cycles for ovulation to get going again or may just be delayed.

Not sure why its my first cycle really, its my first since getting PG with DS - then I was BF until May this year (but only once a day) and I came off the mini pill in July. Had my first AF 5 weeks later and then first cycle was 27 days.
