Would you accept a negative to be negative?

I've missed my period by 2 days..., and have had symptoms of sore, full heavy breasts for 10 days +, bloating, headaches, metalic taste in mouth etc. For the past month myself and my partner have been having unprotected intercourse. However, I did a cheapie test yesterday afternoon and it came back negative, but I'm not convinced (maybe it's wishful thinking). Has anyone else experienced this and then gone on to find out they are indeed pregnant? I'm sure on my first pregnancy this happened and it was at least a week past my period that I got the positive. I've now bought a First Response test and going to do one first thing in morning...., if negative and still no period..., I will just have to wait at least a week eh?!

I'm also two days late!!!

I've done a test and got a BFN this mornig. This is our 4th month of trying, so I'm just waiting for AF now.

Incidentally, I had all those symptoms on my first month of trying..... I think we're quite capable of convincing ourselves. BUT whilst there's no AF there's hope!!!

Sorry I'm really quite useless at the shortforms..., what is BFN? and AF? Yeah fingers crossed eh...., are you going to do another test in a week or so? :)

BFN = big fat negative
AF - auntie Flo = period

I'm holding off for a few days now I think, although I have 10 x cheapie Amazon tests!

this pregancy and last i had negatives at 2,3,4,5 days late.

Turned out i had OVd a week late both times and got a positive a week after i thought my period was due.

so i thought i had concieved day 14 and was due period day 28 when infact i had concieved day 21 and was due period day 35 but got + test instead :)

Hope for me yet!!

Particularly as I didn't use OPK's this month, as wanted to relax a bit with it all.

That's great news..., there's hope for me yet then (fingers crossed)..! I'm going to test first thing tomorrow morning and if BFN..., I will wait another week and try again if I get no AF.

My mum NEVER had a positive preg test with me... but that was over 30years ago.

I did a test yesterday I'm assuming it's negative. It did have a very very faint line on it but it was the wrong way (horizontal not verticle like test line) then 10mins later it had vanished! Had a very emotional few minutes!

Awrrhhh, wait a bit longer..., and test again.., hope it goes ok for you BatsInTheSnow..., keep us updated..., good luck...!! :)

An awfully long week..., my partner has gone away today too for 6 long weeks on millitary exercise..., so don't want to tell him over the phone... :(

I'm now on cd32 of a 28 day cycle and another BFN! Using those cheapie amazon/ebay tests, so going to get a decent expensive one at the weekend if nothing's happened by then.

I was just coming on to also ask if there's any news?! I'm still managing to not retest yet as determined to wait a full whole week before I do, although I still haven;'t got AF yet...

im on day 57 took a test on day 53 which was a bfn!! so wheres my af? x

Gone on holiday with our AF's?! Mines still not shown up either!

I am also a week late, but the difference is that I have a suspicion I may have got pg last month and had bleeding around the time my period was due. I took a test just after that and it was negative, due to long cycles I would have been around 5-6 weeks. I just accepted I was imagining things and it was just a strange AF, but I still have slight nausea on and off, clothes are getting tight and sore boobs. Now I think it could just be pre-AF symptoms I normally get as I wasn't paying much attention in the middle of the month, although I definitely continued having nausea and sore boobs after the bleeding.
I have been holding out on doing another test as I don't really believe I could be nearly 12 weeks pg without knowing, but part of me thinks it isn't possible.

Boo hoo hoo..., my AF appeared last Thursday (5 days late)..., and now have to wait 5 weeks until my partner is home to start trying again......!! :(

im out got af on day 59 4 weeks late
