Not sure if I'm pregnant?!

I had my last period on 5th Sept, which makes me due a period today..., but am now wondering if I may be pregnant?! Myself and my partner have been having unprotected sex since my last period...., and for the past week I have had sore breasts (and they feel larger and heavier than normal), I'm really bloated and I have no usual heaviness in my abdomen (which I usually get before my period)..., so so want to know as my partner goes away on military exercise tomorrow for 6 weeks..., and really don't want to be telling him over the phone if I am pregnant. Do you think it would be too early to do a test first thing tomorrow morning?..., and what do you think the liklihood is of me being pregnant? :)

I'd buy a first response test, they have always been the earliest to give me a positive. Goodluck!

Thanks both...., I did a First Response test on Wednesday and Thursday (in the afternoon though) and they both came back negative..., but I know on my first pregnancy it didn't show til after my period was due. I'm just wondering what your thoughts are the likelihood of me being pregnant with the symptoms I'm having?! The waiting game is just awful..., and really want to know before my partner goes tomorrow tea time. Wish me luck for the morning girls...., and thanks :)

I think while waiting to test you can invent all kinds of crazy symptoms in your head. Unfortunately you're not going to know any sooner just because you want to. All of us would love to but it doesn't happen. It's your first month, best have fun and stay calm about it.

Thanks all... :) I still haven't had my period and am seriously thinking I maybe pregnant (maybe wishful thinking)...! I am now only 2 days late for my period. I did a test yesterday (afternoon) and it showed negative. Is it possible to get a false negatative so soon after your period is due? If I remember correctly with my first pregnancy, I'm sure I had a few negatives at first..., but waited til at least a week after my period and it was positive. Any ideas? Unfortunately it is still the waiting game eh?, and yet my partner has now left for military exercise for 6 weeks :(
