Hi all. I came off the pill 5 or 6 weeks ago, 2 weeks ago I had 4 days of EWCM and what must have been ovulation pains (had no idea what either were til I googled the symptoms the week after!) but I still haven't had a period. Rather than buying an ovulation kit can anyone tell me if this sort of thing is normal? Was I really ovulating or is this impossible without a period first?

Thanks for any advice

Hi sounds about right to me Smile i get ewcm for a couple of days before ovulation also sore boobs i use opk so i know when i ovulate.

implantation usually occurs 7 days after (ish)

Id be tempted to do a pregnancy test soon if AF doesnt arrive you could be extremely lucky Grin

Thanks Nicolaplus1 Smile I did try a preg test 3 days ago and it was BFN :( I don't think that was too early to test though?? Confused

So thought I would see what other people thought - I'm glad that you have the same as me, as it's been so long (16 years!) since I had a period I don't know whether I'm coming or going! Confused

Maybe I should invest in opk, I've got the Fertility Calculator plan thing via e-mail so I'll look at that too. I'm trying to just "be easy" about it for the moment but think I'll be using all the kits etc before long!

Hi, I came off the pill, had a withdrawal bleed and nothing since. According to my iPhone app my period is 32 days late, so its been 60 days roughly since the withdrawal bleed. I've had aches and pains in my stomach and very tender boobs, I've felt cramping but yet its not come to anything yet. Oh god and last week someone at work though I was pregnant as much stomach was so swollen! I've done a test because became totally paranoid and it was negative, but I just had to check. Its very strange coming off the bill and being so "regular" to not knowing where you are and when its coming. But I'm hopefully things will settle down soon.

Hi juniorpark. I think life will be so much easier when (not if, staying positive!) we get regular cycles and finally have a proper period. I didn't even know what ewcm was a symptom of at first, I just thought it was something a bit weird for a few days.

And how bizarre you got congratulated on your pregnancy when you weren't! The same thing happened to me the week before last, so I put on facebook that I definately WAS NOT and it started even more rumours! Not very easy telling people it's not true when they congratulate you when it's all you want in the world eh :(

It just takes time I suppose :) A friend of mine came off the pill, had nothing (no ovulation etc etc) for 4 months, had one period and is now on her maternity leave... fingers crossed for you :)
