could i be pregnant?

hello, i've just joined mumsnet and i wonder if anyone has any advice for me please.i have a two year old, and i think i could be pregnant again. im not due til next week, but i have sore nipples and nausea. im also getting stomach pains, cant call it an ache just a discomfort, and lower backache. You'd think i'd know with a toddler, but it was different last time, i had nothing until a missed period. Anyone have any thoughts on whether i could be pg or not? could the discomfoer in my stomach be stretching pains already or is it way too early? thanks

unfortunately you wont know for sure unless you do a test

Of course you could be pg (unless you have been celibate). The way to tell is to take a pg test next week, but you know that. My first symptom was sore breasts, before period was due. Hope you get the result you want!

Cymrulass i am thinking the same thing! I have another week to wait, boobs have been very tender, feeling a bit bleugh alot specially mornings and have a 'feeling'! But my 'feeling' could quite easily be paranoia!

And i have 2 kids already btw but both those pgs were completely different so who knows. Im not planning to get pg just been a bit forgetful with my pills as wasnt expecting to have sex for a while but me and xp are kind of patching things up, maybe, and have had a few drinks a couple of times and well, you know the rest

Its horrid having to wait though isnt it, why cant someone invent a test you could use the day after having sex!!!

Oh and my first pg i had aches before i was due on that i just assumed were period pains and id come on soon, after 2 weeks of it i suddenly thought hang on a minute! [D'oh emoticon]

impatient i agree with you totally about a post sex pregnancy test, it would be fab. its not so much my boobs as my nipples,and theyre like bullets all the time, and the discomfort in my stomach, like period pains but not. i dont know if its too early for ligament pains, if its your second pregnancy

No i dont know, with my second pregnancy i found out the day i was due, did a test cos i just kind of knew, but id been busy before then with moving house so wasnt really paying much attention to my body iykwim.

I know we just have to wait but its soo frustrating!! I had a couple drinks last night and kept thinking should i be doing this, and i smoke too and keep thinking might have to give this up again soon!

Will have to let me know if you are or not, can i ask if you're ttc or would this be an 'accident'?

hello impatient. we are ttc, but i had a miscarriage a couple of months ago, so im trying not to think about it too much. some symptoms are the same, ie nausea, but last time i had really bad stabbing pains in my lower stomach, wheras this this time it just feeld uncomfortable, like im being stretched almost, but trying not to get my hopes up.
how about you, you said you werent planning it, but how do you feel, or just wanting to know for sure. you'll have to let me know too, and i hope u get the result u want when you do the test.

Sorry to hear about you M/C {{HUGS}}
It is sooo awful waiting isn't it! I hate it but unfortunately it's one of those things.
I am from the TTC after a M/c Lets have some more BFPs thread. We are all in the same boat as you one way or another. We have a one or two due to test at the end of the week beginning of next and we all moan about the fact of having to wait. You are more than welcome to come and join us and vent you frustraion with us. They're all lovely ladies and have fab advice to give!
If you are PG, will you be pleased have you been trying?

Cymrulass - you might find that it's just PMT related. I get what I would easily call early pregancy symptons every month for the 2 weeks prior to AF. In fact, I'm on CD18 now and I have cramps very low in my pelvis and feel a bit sick.

I really do hope that if it's something you want, then you do end up being pregnant...but it could just as easily as this stage be PMT related. Only way to truly find out is to do a test.....

it could be pmt related i suppose, but i only ever get pmt symptoms the day or day before, but you never know. how would i go about joining your thread lottielou, it would be great talking to other women in the same situation?

If anyone can do a link for the TTC after a M/c Lets have some more BFP's then please can you do one!

Alternatively just look in the Conception section and look for that tittle! Just post a message and away you go! x
