Am I utterly delusional?

Every bit of logic is telling me I'm going crazy-please tell me what you think!

Had lots of sex at the right time (and lots either side too!). Had what I am certain was an implantation bleed at the time you would expect. Am nauseous, have tender breasts, have had unusual amount of cm and am very emotional.

Period didn't arrive at expected time-did a test which was negative. Repeated daily! All negative. Period eventually arrived 7 days late. It was lighter than normal (though normal is very heavy so it wasn't actually light) and only lasted 5 days (normal is 8). Is there any point in me doing another test? I can't be pregnant right? I just feel like I am.

Implantation bleeds are actually very rare.

Please do not retest now; seeing repeated negatives as well is also very disheartening.

I don't know what else it could have been though-one random bleed that lasted less than an hour about a week before my period was due? I hope it was because otherwise I'm a bit freaked out...

I know you're right, it's just that everything about this cycle has been odd. I'm never late normally-let alone a week, and then with an unusual period. Part of me wonders if I was pregnant but it didn't stick-but last time that happened the bleed was much heavier than normal and much more traumatic-plus I'd had a bfp.

I'm going to step away from the tests!

Hi- I'm sorry you're going through this! I really don't want to frighten you or anything but I have been going through similar things and now I'm getting tests for cysts on my ovaries. It's probably not this but is maybe worth popping to your gp about it?

Pippaandpolly · 24/09/2010 22:27

Hi Hedgeblunder-I'm sorry you're going through that. Can I ask-was it a bleed that caused you to go to the GP initially? Mine's a bit patronising and I'm always a bit nervous of going to him unless I'm certain there's something very wrong!
