Trying to fall with Fybroids

Hi All,
I am new I am 25 and have been told recently by my specialist that I need to crack on and have a family as my clock is running out which was shocking and very upsetting to hear at 25! I have a 4x4cm Fybroid and growing at the moment and it got that big within 3 months of coming off the hormones that were supressing it! So very worried as to how big it will grow!
I am engaged and getting married in 3 weeks we brought the wedding forward when we got told the news.
We have been trying to get pregnant and I thought we were this month but started my period today and feel very gutted.

Do any of you suffer with fybroids? The reserach ive read of pregnancy with them is horrifying and I hope its not true!

Thanks x

Hiya Lexi,

I have no personal experience of fibroids and am by no means any kind of expert on them but I saw your thread and thought I'd come over and tell you that my neighbour also has a pretty hefty fibroid (was told it's about the size of 4 month old baby in utero) but is also 36 weeks pregnant. It can and does happen so just keep on trying!

Best of luck Smile

Ahh thanks!
I read that it can be hard to fall and my doctor told me the pregnancy will be really painful as the fybroid will grow at the same time as the baby? Does she look like she is pregnant with twins as thats also what i was told!
Do you know if she can have a natural labour also been told I prob wont be able to and will have to have a c section??
Sorry for all the questions just nice to know someone who knows someone!
xx

TBH she doesn't look any bigger than I would expect her to look at this stage.

She has managed to carry on working up until a couple of weeks ago so it can't have been too bad. She also has two older children and she has lots to do with them so I don't think she has found it that much more difficult or tiring than if she hadn't had the fibroid.

I think perhaps the doc has given worst case scenario to prepare you. It might not be half as bad as he has made out. Hopefully it won't be.

Thanks thats really helped. My doc is saying i got to have a family now and 2 1 after another quickly as he wants to remove the fybroid but cant yet as comes with risk of hysterectomy so thats why we are trying now!
Really sucked as I didnt want kids just yet we were going to do other stuff first but as soon as im pregnant i will be SO happy and now were trying i want this baby more than anything else! And I wanted a baby then a 2 yr gap then the next one but doc is saying 9 months apart!!

Hi.

I've recently discovered that I have 2 (2x2ish cm) fibroids in the uteing rus.

I'm also TTC.

My gynae tells me that because of their positions, carrying a baby won't be a problem and he is not concerned by them.

I believe it all depends on location, primarily.

Also, the worst thing you can do is worry - easier said than done, I know!

Uteing rus?

Ahem. Sorry. Uterus.
