Hi Girls,

Am new to this site, have been TTC#1 for 7 months now using the CB digital ov sticks - no luck as yet :(, last go at the moment and then i'm waiting the arrival of my CBFM anyone else had similar experiences? I was on the pill for 12 years and came off it 6 months before trying - starting to get a bit disheartened :( even though all the sites say its normally to not get preggers straight away! x

Hi Emma, welcome. I've been using the ov sticks too, but only for two months. No experience of the CBFM I'm afraid, but I didn't want your post to go unanswered.

Why don't you take a look at some of the regular threads and sign yourself up to one (or a few!)? The current 'bus' is the June Bus - a thread for ladies who, if they conceive this month, will have an EDD in June 2011, but there are a number of other more specialist threads too. I think there's even one for people using CBFMs.

Good luck and baby dust!

Hi Emma

I've just started using a CBFM too and joined the CBFM support group buddies thread, which has been really helpful.

Hope to see you over there soon! Smile

Hi Girls,

Thanks for much for the replies, i will look into the other threads, my friend has just found out she's 4 weeks pregnant - it was her first try and she only did it on 1 day during the whole fertile window! Some people have all the luck hey! x

Emma I know what you mean. Same happened to one of my friends. It's so frustrating. I also find it really difficult when friends tell me 'it was an accident'! I can't remember who it was, but one of the ladies on the CBFM thread said it makes you want to say "well congratulations to you for being so bloody fertile!". So so true! And then there's the guilt of not feeling as chuffed as you should for a friend.

This TTC business really is an emotional roller coaster x

KnackeredCow - You have hit the nail right on the head there! Just doesn't seem fair does it! How can some people get pregnant by accident and others try all the rights days for months and have no luck! It's nice to be able to talk to someone in the same position as me, as I don't want to tell too many people we're having no luck as they constantly ask etc, just being nice but it puts pressure on me :(

I'm trying to be optomistic though, i'm hoping its just a case of keep trying and one day we'll get lucky :o

Please would you mind helping me with all the shorthand for words? I.e. FX i take it means 'fingers crossed' but haven't a clue what some of the others means like 'AF' & 'DH' etc?x
