Addicted to taking tests! Please help!

I can't stop testing even tho I know it's porbably not happened this month.
I'm normally regualar (29 days)and am 7 days late. However I just keep getting BFN, even with first response tests. I really need to buy some cheaper ones on line as I am out of control! However my question is, is it possible that I'm pregnant but that it's still to early to tell, even tho I'm a week late? Or should I just be realistic. If so, where the hell is AF? I never thought I'd miss her!

I understand that tests can (and do) give false negatives. 7 days is VERY late - surely early enough to show, esp. on a FR.

Why not go to the Docs KatyCustard and get them to test? you never know! And it'll save you money on having to buy more tests! I've spent a fortune and i'm not even late yet!

I have just read Taking Charge of Your Fertility and it says there that stress can delay ovulation and make your period late, can you think of anything particularly stressful (including travelling) that happened around the time you normally ovulate?

If so, this could mean you ovulated late and therefore it is still too early to detect HCG in your urine, but you could be pregnant OR you ovulated late, did not get pregnant and AF will come late.

This might be useful too, stats on when pregnancy tests are most likely to show positive results. (but measured in DPO not days past missed period)

Thanks guys that is helpful. Just noticed a touch of egg white type stuff - indicating that I'm ovulating now! So weird. However I've been very stressed recently, so am putting it down to that. Don't know why I didn't think of that before.
I am going to buy that book MummyAbroad, also a batch of tests! Thanks x
