And how did you find out you were pregnant if the test didn't show a positive in the usual time scales?

I didn't bother with a test the third time around - I could tell anyway and no period came so I turned up at the GP at about 12 weeks.

Hello, period was due the Monday, didn't arrive but I didn't get a positive test until 8 days after period was due. Apparently it doesn't always happen straight away due to low levels of hormones in your urine. Am now 7 weeks today Smile

Hey, I missed my AF. I took a test and it was negative. 5 days later it was a very faint positive and the line got stronger and stronger as time went on. Sadly m/c'd though 7 wks later.

Took 10 days after I thought period was due to get a positive. I think I knew I was pg due to metalic taste and feeling a bit faint on standing like all the other times. Have tested positive a bit earlier in the past so maybe ovulated later this time.

I know of a friend who didn't get a positive till 2 weeks after her period was due...it could be that you ovulated late
