There are 32 days, 2 hours and 7 (ish) minutes until our wedding :)

I haven't had a pg dream in a while. I did have my first wedding nightmare last night though. The beer hadn't arrived when it was supposed to so i then worried that the cake and food wouldn't turn up either! Fortunately it was a mild nightmare, as long as OH and the vicar turn up it will all be ok Grin

bebejones · 26/10/2010 13:38

100 - I felt almost relieved to tell a couple of my friends that we I Hmm am planning on TTC! Just needed to let it out! Don't want to tell anyone else just yet though. As nice as it is my mum knowing what we are planning, there are some things I just can't discuss with my mum! Wink

JBells - I had no proper symptoms early on with DD, but I just knew I was PG Confused was really odd! My boobs never hurt at all, the whole way through!

Squirrel - got fingers crossed for you!

WYorks - I had horrendous wedding nightmares, no fun! But on the day I was surprisingly calm & relaxed...until I went to leave or the church! DH said when I walked up the aisle he didn't know if I was going to leg it, burst into tears or throw up!! It was waaaaaaay more stressful than moving house! Bet you are ridiculously excited?! :o

Gonna go for bebebones then, just til Monday! [hgrin]

Hey everyone.

Well my friend now knows, she was asking me what my plans were re career as she knows what I do now isn't really my long term plan and I told her that for now things are on hold as we want to start a family, she was like oh then don't wait if that's what you want to which I then said well we're actually no long waiting to try! LOL She was chuffed and it was nice to talk about that and other things.

I seem to be symptom spotting immensely at the moment. Keep getting slight cramps like period pains which I often get before I actually come on, got a headache and feel sick. Weirdly last month was the first month for ages when I had my period that I felt sick when I got it, so I can't even think, well maybe, it was also the first month in ages that my boobs started hurting before I came on. rolls eyes at all these new pre period symptoms that is going to make next month interesting!

I always thought Day 1 was the first day of full bleeding. If it starts as spotting then heavier the next day then the next day, if it starts properly on that day then it's that day. That's what I do anyway :) I think Mrswantstobeamum was before my time, as I only joined here in August/sept, but yay for her. :)

It's so nice to hear about BFPs from 'graduates'!! Yay! Good Luck Mrs!!

WW - I usually start in the pm too, and like 100 says you are supposed to start counting from the first full day of bleeding! But (TMI alert) I don't get spotting, it just starts full on, so I usually count that as day one even if I don't start til lunchtime! Does that make sense?

Thanks for voting for DD, I caved & put a plea out on the Next wall! Didn't seem fair that people were doing it and getting loads of votes, sort of an unfair advantage! Still think it was probably a futile exercise! But I can live in hope! Hmm Wink

Leg is no better, but not any worse Confused I'm a bit unsure what to do. Part of me thinks I should ring the GP in the morning & just get it checked & part of me thinks I'm being silly & it's nothing. Trouble is it's sod's law that if I leave it it'll get worse over the weekend when I can't see my doctor! Confused Tricky!

100years · 26/10/2010 17:01

Oh hun, I just get the odd depression days and sometimes it doesn't even make any sense as to why it is that day. Had it a lot last year and so I am acutely aware of any symptoms and do hope I don't go back there. Ooooh re SWI on day 14, so you might be, you just never know Shock You're welcome.

I'm starting to write a diary about all of this, I'm not sure if it will make any sense in the end or if I will ever show it to anyone, but it might be nice to keep a track of things. We will see.

100years · 26/10/2010 17:03

bebe, not sure what to suggest re the docs, is there not an out of hours provider you could see if you left it to the weekend and needed to see someone then, I think Doctors have to have some form of OOH care planned.

afternoon all

whywait- yep thats me not a very clear photo, but u can see me a lil bit on there, im excited but nervous theres always that fear that there wont be a baby, or no heartbeat, or abnormalities etc, be relieved to hopefully get all clear that everything is ok, i remember mrswantstobeamum thats good news for her, im afraid your all stuck with me even though im pg ill be sticking around on this thread lol oh an also i count the day from the day i come om whether that be morning or afternoon but not sure if this is the way u shud do it

bebe- i also kinda just knew i was pg both times this time even tho i had 4 negative tests i kept testing as there was a part of me that just knew, cud u go to out of hours at hosp if u get any worse at wkend?

100years- bet that felt nice sharing your gud news with a friend, none of my close friends have kids which is gud in some ways but bad in others

jbells · 26/10/2010 17:16

oh also u shud all read the thread- babys first times u would rather 4get very funny

100years · 26/10/2010 17:27

Whywait, I've not even thought of POAS this month, I'm just very casually waiting for AF to arrive so I can get on with it next month LOL I am actually more chilled out about the whole trying thing than I was when I was waiting to try. You have made me wonder if I should. Maybe I'll leave it a week, if no AF by then then I will test. :) Cycles are up the spout anyway so it's not like 33 days is actually a long cycle for me, in fact it's just short of my average of 34 days, so to be fair I really think this is just a normal month.

jbells, my friend doesn't have kids, but she understands the whole family thing, she is older than me, and I think is kind of at a ah well it hasn't happened and it's not going to, but I don't think she is too down about it. I think it's only natural for you to be nervous re the scan, don't a lot of people feel the same way.

bebebones · 26/10/2010 20:07

I could go to out of hours service, but because it's an existing problem I'd rather see my GP who knows what's happened before & how to treat it. Alos the drugs I would probably need are quite specific & I know that some docs don't like prescribing them! Gonna ring GP first thing 2moro. Leg feeling very peculiar! Confused Only 4 months since my last relapse, will be so upset if it's another one. I feel so guilty that I stopped the meds, really don't want to lose the use of my leg again...even if it is only temporary! :(

100 - You are being v restrained, I'd be POAS every 5 mins! :o

bebebones · 26/10/2010 21:38

Hang fire on the voting for DD! I have a sneaking suspicion that Next might withdraw the comp it has kicked off big time! People getting their kids removed, complaints over cheating & the unfairness of the voting system! Considering having DD removed, people are starting to get nasty! :( Not good publicity for them is it?!

Feeling massively broody again just hit my like a train this afternoon! (no pun intended) DD has had one of her cute days today, and has been loads of fun to be around! Think that's what brought it on! :)

100years · 26/10/2010 22:00

Oh no re the voting thing kicking off. Hope it all works out, but yeah these things usually are a thing for people to promote to their friends.

I don't know, I don't see any point in POAS at the moment, we didn't stop using condoms until I was on day 26, and we didn't have any breakages before that, so it's pretty unlikely that I am pg. If like I say I get to about 38 days and no sign of AF then I will prob POAS, that's the weekend though.

Going back to symptom spotting we have just been out for a lovely meal, was ravenous beforehand, struggled to finish it all and thought I was gonna chuck when I had finished, the food was gorgeous, LOL I won't know what's pre period symptoms and preg symptoms if this happens next month will I!!!

bebebones · 27/10/2010 08:23

100 - you have quite a list of symptoms! It'll be tricky to work out what's what!!!

Things on the comp seem to have settled down this morning so will leave DD there, for now!

Have rung my GP, but he's not in yet & will call back when he gets in! Just waiting.....

nannyl · 27/10/2010 08:24

morning all

bebe have voted for you very cute DD. hope your leg gets sorted

hello again fluffy, and whywait

good luck to Mrs.

I am back home now up north... have lunch / dinner with 2 friends (down south) on monday, both of whom are due in May 2010... am very very Envy but over the moon for them.
so have been discusiing babies / buggies / washable nappies / bottles / car seats (all my fav subjects! Blush) for a whole day

delighted that me child will have some ready made friends! ... me and OH need to get on with making ours

Came back from hols and have a letter from my GP saying that as i have had asthma I am eligable for the flu jab BEFORE i get pregnant (it had been missed from my notes when i moved) so i now have to decide again weather or not to have it...

squirrel007 · 27/10/2010 09:16

Hi all!

jbells can imagine just how you feel, but am keeping my fingers crossed for your scan :)

wyorkslass that's very exact! The next month will whizz by, and the next thing you know you'll be walking down the aisle. I remember all the nerves fading then, and walking down the aisle with a huge grin on my face... yours will be a fabulous day!

100years I guess next month will be even harder to avoid symptom spotting! I think it's hard to tell the difference between pmt and pg anyway, and especially hard when you're on the lookout!

nannyl sounds like a nice trip to visit your friends, and great that you have friends due too - none of my friends are pg or anywhere near, so I'm kind of on my own!

whywait it's good to hear about graduates of this thread! Congrats to mrswantstobeamum :)

bebe hope the Next thing calms down, some people like to make a fuss about everything. Hope you're not at the beginning of a relapse though, maybe best to check with your doc and put your mind at rest?

Still no sign of AF here, but DH is away this week so I want to hold off testing till the weekend. I am also a bit put off testing by the other thread in this topic about the success rates of tests, and even 17dpo (which I think I am tomorrow) they still don't pick up all pregnancies. So, just have to wait some more...

bebebones · 27/10/2010 09:26

Have an appt with my fab GP in about an hour! Will be nice to see if he can work out what's going on! Will also have a chat with him about TTC!

Nannyl - thank you for voting! DD is well down on the list & there are over 800 pages now so I'm not holding out much hope...who is going to scroll though 800 odd pages & look at all the kids before voting?! Hmm Don't think Next thought this through!
How nice to spend some time with your friends! It's really hard when people you know are PG, you feel really pleased/excited for them but ridiculously sad/jealous at the same time!

Squirrel - we are all waiting with breath that is bated! Wink

I have my flu jab at the end of Nov, they are only running one clinic that I am eligable to go to (ie not over 65s) so it's that or nothing! Hmm Will definitely be having it though. Flu is a risk for my MS & I really need to try & stay healthy! Hoping that this thing with my leg is not MS Confused

nannyl · 27/10/2010 09:54

good luck with your Drs appt bebe.

think ill call my drs now to find out when i can get a flu jab appt!
jbells good luck for your scan too! let us know and DO stick around! Smile

Right now an exciting trip to Tesco for me, followed by ironing, sorting out holiday stuff and getting ready for some more great friends and my god daughter (aged 7) and their dog who are coming tomorrow for a long weekend!
think that calls for the baking of a chocolate cake!!!

then my diet commences on Monday! Have put on a few ibs (not that many, but my looser clothes are no longer loose, and my tighter clothes i cant breath!) so have decided to see if i can loose half a stone (ie about 1ib a week) in the next 6 weeks, and then stop diet as will be TTC, and dont want to be dieting then!

making the most of my last weekend of caffine / alcohol too, as planned to give it up completely from November, ready for baby making in December!!!!

100years · 27/10/2010 10:26

Morning all.

Hope everyone is well.

Nannyl I would try and get flu jab in the couple of weeks/week when you get your period as opposed to waiting. Then if you do conceive it won't be given in those first few days of implantation etc. But that's just my feeling.

Bebe hope the appointment went OK.

Squirrel I know what you mean about waiting to test, I would prefer OH to be around when I test when it comes to that, he said he doesn't mind if he's here or not.

Not feeling so ick this morning :) Yay. Maybe all of my sickness is only period related and if/when I get pg I won't have any morning sickness. LOL

jbells · 27/10/2010 10:34

morning all, just dropped DD of at nursery, put a wash on and done the dishes then time to hoover downstairs then a nice shower and wash and dry hair in peace, sounds stupid but so nice to be able to have more than a 2 mins shower lol

next on the agenda is a quick trip to lpool just to take a couple of things back and cosco with my mum, will prob grab lunch there as its so cheap

nannyl- thanks i will be staying here :) will give u all my news on friday fingers crossed all goes fine, friday is coming round so slowly tho, bake an xtra chocolate cake for the train :o oh andf wot a touch time to give up alcohol xmas party season

bebe- hope your drs apt goes well let us know how u get on, fingers crossed it is nothing

squirral- u r prob right to wait to test, even tho i have no patience and am useless at waiting but your right i had 4 negative tests b4 i got a positive, was over a wk late for my period if my dates were right

100 wot strange symptons u r having i have never had a sicky feeling like that due to period symptons very odd, hopefully things will sort themselves out, or u will get some gud news :o

well i shall get going with the housework now speak to u all later, have a gud day :)

100years · 27/10/2010 10:56

Yep strange symptoms indeed for me, last month though I actually felt sick while I had my period so hence why I'm not even thinking anything more than I'm due on.

Hope you have a good day out. I am planning a little shopping trip tomorrow to possibly get some new trousers and some shoes for the trip away next week!

Can't wait to hear about your scan.

Quodlibet · 27/10/2010 11:48

Hi all

bebe fingers crossed here for your GP appt too, hoping that your symptoms aren't a relapse. Loved the pic of your daughter btw, and what a lovely name (forgot to say I thought your advent calender is awesome).

jbells your pics are so sweet too! What a grin.
I'm coming to lpool for the first time ever on Friday for a friend's wedding, quite excited.

It's all getting so exciting on here what with all the SWIing and symptoms! My DP pointed out to me the other day that when it's our turn I'm going to be thinking/worrying about it all the time, and I think he's right unfortunately; wouldn't it be nice for it to take up less head space?? We've been talking/agreeing about possibly 'in the spring' for us to TTC, which is as close to a definite date as we've ever got.

JS any advance on your recruitment saga?

Right, got to get back to work!
