I'm not sure what I will do re telling my Mum when the time comes to it, not sure if I could wait too long, but on the other hand I'm not sure I can tell her too early!

I'm actually going to try and get a few months out of the kits so long as I ovulate at the right time, I think it's a moisture thing, so if I make sure I seal it up properly and keep it in a cool dry place I'm going to keep my fingers crossed. I've just 'agreed' (tis the only word I can think of, but it's the wrong word) the every other day thing (don't want to bombard too much), OH has just asked what's going on in here and I mentioned your comment, he was like erm well. LOL. I'm not sure it will be an every day thing, I'm not even sure I would want that, and sperm lasts a few days anyway, if we are still trying a few months down the line then I will be pestering him all the time!!! [hgrin]

jbells · 20/10/2010 08:11

lol 100 years hopefully u will be like me i will openly say that it was not often yet here i am guess its part luck part timimg, my mum prob found out a few days afta i found out last time and this time i took the test at her house and asked her if i was imagining things as line was faint, i tend to tell my mum everything tho, im rubbish at keeping things to myself

WYorksLass · 20/10/2010 08:47

100 years that's so exciting, i'm really happy for you :o

My mum tells me she will "know" when i get pregnant. She will as well!

Btw, my name does reflect where i'm from/live so there must have been more than 1 half marathon that day.

jbells, i did have to laugh about you running away from your mum, sorry! I'm glad she was fine about it.

Have a good day all.

bebejones · 20/10/2010 09:20

100 - I didn't want to tell anyone until after 12 week scan. But was so cick we ended up telling family! Was a bit disappointed, kind of liked it being 'our little secret'! :)

DD picked up her dolly this morning & said 'Can I have baby sister please?' I said 'what now?' she said 'Yes, come on mummy, let's go get baby sister!' So apparently I have to go get one from somewhere! Hmm :o

OP posts:
100years · 20/10/2010 10:06

I used to be rubbish at keeping things from my Mum, however this practice has stopped now. It's a long story, one that involved me growing up a lot and stopping being treated like a child.

WYorks, there were actually loads of half marathons on that day, and a few big Marathons :) They are all over the place yet people don't know about them really. It's only if you are interested in running/races that you start finding out how frequent they are. IYKWIM

Aw bless to your LO asking to get a baby sister! Maybe you ought to steer her in you OH's direction.

Well ladies I have some more news drumroll

We have gone from it being the beginning of next year, to November to actually not using condoms last night! Now I know it's totally the wrong point in my cycle, but even so. There is no going back now :o I couldn't get off to sleep afterwards for smiling and thinking wow, it's really really happening. And his comment afterwards was 'right now go stand on your head for half an hour' [hgrin]

So does that mean I'm technically boarding/boarded the train now as a passenger?

jbells · 20/10/2010 10:37

wow 100 years great news, love the comment of standing on your head, did u try it hehe

bebejones · 20/10/2010 10:38

Will definitely be steering DD is DHs direction later & hoping that she says something! Wink (Don't want to prompt her & get accused of 'putting ideas in her head' Hmm)

V exciting, hop aboard the front carriage of the train 100!! :o

Lots of pelvic floor exercises after...erm...well, y'know!! Wink Helps 'suck it up' Hmm Blush well, maybe, tis one theory anyway! :o

OP posts:
jbells · 20/10/2010 10:39

wyorklass, running away was very funny hehe, i felt like a lil girl who had done something naughty, id only just turned 23 at the time and was still living at home, so guess i still felt i had to answer to my mum, now DD is her world altho she did tell me 1 was enuf and not to have anymore i didnt listen tho :o

bebe- r bless your DD yes u shud tell her ask daddy hehe :o

100years · 20/10/2010 10:50

Nope I didn't try the standing on my head thing! I'll save that for being at the right point of the cycle :o I have visions of me with my legs in the air pretending to cycle! I did just lay there with a big grin on my face. I asked if he enjoyed it and he said yeah.

Yay I get to hop aboard, what was going by so slowly is now here whoop. I'm very lucky my OH is happy to move things earlier!

Erm Blush I heard that having an orgasm after the bloke helps it along as well Shock I'll practice my pelvic floor exercises too.

bebejones · 20/10/2010 11:02

Orgasm same principle I think Confused but also creates an alkaline environment which is helpful for boy making sperm!

JBells - I didn't live at home but did think my mum was going to be really cross/disappointed with me. She'd been going on about waiting & not rushing to have a family! I didn't listen either! :o

Did tell DD to ask Daddy, and she wanted to ring him, but he is in a meeting! Typical! At least she is on my side too Wink

OP posts:
100years · 20/10/2010 11:05

Oh re the alkaline environment re boy making sperm, maybe I'll alternate my approach to pelvic floor exercises then!!! LOL

My mum has said in the past about not getting pg at my weight - specifically when I was heavier, the topic hasn't come up recently and she has said how she used to be worried about me, I don't know if she still is, but I will cross that bride when I come to it.

squirrel007 · 20/10/2010 11:21

Exciting news about the job js :) sounds promising and I hope that the board like you too (see no reason why not though!!)

Am excited for you too 100years!

bebe your daughter sounds cuter every time you mention her! Love the advent calendar too.

wyorkslass how long till your wedding now? Is everything ready?

jbells I was also laughing at you running from your mum!

As for me, I'm getting impatient, think I'm in the 2ww but am not sure how normal things are after the coil. Either way, I'm sure it's too early to do any tests, and I'm thinking of investing in opks for next month. And I've also convinced DH that I should redecorate one room to make a nursery, so now I have a project to focus on!

100years · 20/10/2010 16:28

Thanks Squirrel. Oooh the 2ww, that will be me next month!!! I'm not sure how much the coil affects things re your cycle, I know when I had mine it didn't but then I had the copper non hormonal one as opposed to the mirena coil.

I'm whacked out really, still not over the lurgy, just feel really knackered and I am working tomorrow, it's the start of 5 shifts for me, bleurgh. Only 2 weeks today till we go away for a mini break :)

jbells · 20/10/2010 17:41

i can honestly say i have heard nothing about the orgasm thing or the alkaline boy sperm environment thing u learn something new everyday :o

well DP is away on business again today and tomoro so i have asked my mum to babysit tonite and i am going the pics with my friend altho i am exhausted and may fall asleep will be a nice rest/ nite out hehe

100years · 20/10/2010 18:49

I went shopping today with the plan to make Pork Madras for tea, and I forgot one vital ingredient, I nearly cried when it was suggested I went out again to get some, I am sooooo tired and I reckon I am also proper PMTish now.

I've just ironed a load of shirts and trousers, have made loads of soup again, and I'm so looking forward (not) to work tomorrow, but at least I will be sitting down lots!!!

Can't wait to feel better so I can do some exercise again, I am missing it now, which I think means I am getting better, but the fact I couldn't actually do anything means I am not actually ready to.

Enjoy the cinema :)

bebejones · 20/10/2010 19:29

JBells - enjoy the cinema! I haven't been in soooooooo long so am v Envy

100 - I feel your pain! Yesterday I went to Sainsbury's once & Tesco twice coz I kept forgetting stuff! I even wrote a list for Tesco the first time & still managed to forget stuff that was on the list!!! It's so frustrating!

Ironing?! What's that?! Wink :o

Had to stop reading the secondary infertility thread coz it was making me really worried! Confused

AC, where are you? Hope you are ok?

JS, when do you have to go meet the board?

OP posts:
jbells · 21/10/2010 08:25

morning all, film was good typical romantic comedy made u want to cry and laugh was back home by 9 but cudnt sleep tho, i find it so hard to sleep on my own in bed when DP is away i always get a terrible nites sleep :(

bebe- i think that was the first time i have bin pics for about 6 months, normally just go stuff my face when i meet up with my friends but got no apetite at mo

100- i did that the other day went to co op with a list of things to buy got home forgot the main thing i needed and had to go back, i wasnt impressed grrr, glad to know im not the only one who does things like that

bebejones · 21/10/2010 09:32

JBells - haven't been to the cinema since before I was PG with DD Shock DH doesn't like going & every time I've arranged to go with friends it's been cancelled by someone! :( Think I'm the complete opposite to you re sleeping...I love having the bed to myself :o Did you have a scan date yet? Can't remember if you said Blush

I'm in agony with one of my wisdom teeth today, gum so swollen where it is underneath that the pain goes down into my throat :( On the plus side, at least I don't want to eat! :o

OP posts:
100years · 21/10/2010 11:20

Oh poop, I feel no better still. Woke this morning when the alarm went off, throat killing, coughing slightly productively, legs ache like I've done some killer session in the gym and the start of a headache. So I rang work and booked sick. Went back to bed and slept for nearly 4 hours solid, I did have some vivid dreams while I was sleeping though.

JustShaggingForNow · 21/10/2010 12:09

I had some very vivid dreams last nighttoo. One in particular about DH telling me that we shoud sod our plans and just start trying now..... Oh I wish!!

Still no date for the meeting. Bit frustrating really so am going to chase the recruiter today as i need to know if I am going to have to change my train tickets back from Bath.

JustShaggingForNow · 21/10/2010 12:09

oh - get better soon 100. There are tons of people in my office off sick at the moment, there must be something going around. Not much fun :(

100years · 21/10/2010 12:29

I'm bloody fed up with it now. :( Going to get a blanket and lie and watch DVDs

bebejones · 21/10/2010 18:18

100 - hope you are feeling a bit better?! :(

JS - how frustrating to keep you hanging on! Is it a job in Bath or is it in Bristol? Either way I bet you can't wait for it tbc so you can get away from the BFH!

Have confided in another friend about plans to TTC & stopping meds. But it's ok coz she doesn't know anyone I know & lives near my mum! She had just in told me that she has been trying for her 2nd for over a year & has been referred for blood tests. :( Really hope it happens for her soon. You never know, we could be due at the same time! Hmm If DH ever gets into the idea of DC2!

jbells · 21/10/2010 19:32

hi all, i have had quite a nice day today DD was in nursery and seems i got laid off from my job had a day to myself, so i took myself shopping to liverpool which i havnt done in as long as i can remember and treated myself to some maternity clothes i didnt buy any last time round except one pair of jeans the choice seems a lot more fashionable this time round, made sure i bought stuff that i cud still wear even if i wasnt pregnant :) also got DD an outfit, then went for lunch with my brother,3:15 then an old friend came round for an hour and just as she was leaving DP came back from his business trip, all in all a good day very tired now tho

Bebe- wow that is a long time since u went pics, my DP loves to go we just never get round to it as we have a limited supply of babysitters, havnt had scan yet, its nxt friday seems to be taking forever to come round, feel like i got ahead of myself buying mat clothes just incase i get there and theres no hearbeat or something is wrong Confused hope the pain of your tooth goes soon

100years- i really hope u start to feel better soon

js- hopefully recruiter will be able to give u definate date soon

strawberrypie · 21/10/2010 21:42

It sounds like you had a perfect day jbells! Liverpool is fab for shopping now with Liverpool One isn't it?

100years you must be really fed up now. I suppose all you can do is rest and wait until you feel better- sending you get well soon vibes!

I love it that DD is fighting your corner, bebe, and asking for a baby sister!

Still wishing you good luck JS........my OH had an interview yesterday but didn't get it. We were gutted, there are not many teaching jobs around at all at the moment :(

I went to the doctor today for something else but asked her a few questions about TTC too. It was strange saying it out loud that we will be trying next year! :)

I'm Envy about the nursery squirrel! Let us know what theme/colour you choose!
