AC- thanks very much any advice u cud give me on where i stand would be great, so far ive figured they have to pay me up to when my contract was supose to end plus any holidays owed is this right? i knew they were horrible dheads but didnt think they wud stoop this low, most companies tread on eggshells when u tell them your pregnant

100years · 14/10/2010 09:32

Fluffy yeah I checked all my meeds with the Dr and apparently the drugs I take as a preventer are 'not a nice drug at the best of times' so not really advisable in pregnancy. I thought the first trimester was worse for a lot of things as that is when the foetus does it's developing. Anyway I'm on my second missed tablet now and a night shift tonight so we shall see.

Jbells, lovely to see you again. Yay for your scan date :o Really bad about your work though :(

Good luck at the interview JS

I am feeling icky today, sore throat a bit of a cough and ear ache. I sound very croaky and I'm not sure that's really a good thing! Supposed to be biking today, might just go on it for a little bit to the chemist (for a script) and back and nothing more than that.

jbells · 14/10/2010 11:09

thanks 100 years- i know wasnt the best news to come back to, cop out that they wudnt tell me to my face, altho i am much more enjoying being at home rather than that horrible office, so there is a silver lining, i still havnt managed to catch up on all of thread properly wot preventer drugs do u have to take, sorry your feeling crappy

100years · 14/10/2010 11:32

It's for migraines. the Dr said to stop them before trying, I have been on them for a number of years now and am not sure they work any more, but they are in my system and I don't want to just stop taking them one day. So it's every other day till my period and then after that I will stop them - so long as OH doesn't make me wait another month!

jbells · 14/10/2010 11:44

fingers crossed he wont :)

100years · 14/10/2010 11:56

Well after his "you can count in days now not months" comment the other day I doubt he will, it was that night that I started the every other day tablet plan, and he was aware of it.

The other day I commented that my boobs have shrunk and my bra was too big now and showed him, he replied with "more room for milk" LOL

I think it's on his mind too

jbells · 14/10/2010 12:03

my boobs havnt grown this time around last time there was a noticeable difference, i havnt really been eating very much as i feel sick all the time and have no appetite but ive still managed to put a pound on i wasnt very happy about that told my mum and she said well u r pregnant! hate the early bit where u just start looking fat,

he is prob right the bra will prob fit u again once your pregnant lol

100years · 14/10/2010 12:09

Hope the sickness goes off soon for you :(

I don't mind them shrinking at the moment tbh, they were a G cup when I bought the bra, so I reckon an F now!

jbells · 14/10/2010 12:14

oh so youve got room to drop a couple of cup sizes then lol im a DD and i was happiest when the dropped to a C friends think im mad but i always wanted smaller boobs biggest ive bin was an E im only 5ft 2 tho so it felt too big for my body

100years · 14/10/2010 12:19

Yep loads of boobage to lose yet, I can't see that happening for a while though!

I'm off to bed now, am on nights tonight so I need a bit of sleep before I go off to work.

Catch you all soon.

Away again this weekend!!!

jbells · 14/10/2010 12:38

nite nite

AmandaCooper · 14/10/2010 16:35

Will have a read through all the posts again on the laptop today. Have been in Birmingham all day and reception on the train is rubbish!

FluffyDonkey · 14/10/2010 16:44

100 - shame about your migraine meds. Apparently the only "risk" for mine is that they lower your heart rate which isn't good for mother or baby during birth. I will be stopping them ASAP when I get pregnant though.

Having said that, they don't seem to be doing much good as I have a migraine today - am averaging one a week and am having to invent excuses to leave work early as I'm already known as the "migraine girl" Sad

Anyway, sounds like your DH is looking forward to TTC! Mine also makes random remarks about what I'll be like when pregnant - it's very sweet.

Spent some time looking up baby names today Blush. Very few names that I like and I have an extra challenge cos they've got to work in French and English...

strawberrypie · 14/10/2010 18:56

Good luck for the interview tomorrow JS!!!!!!!!

jbells I'm sure your ex-employers are being naughty doing that. I wonder if the citizens advice would be able to give you any advice for free?

I don't envy you the potty training bebe! I believe it is really difficult to go out much when you are doing it? Very hard work. You'll have to try to imagine DD using her determination for changing the world in the future.......becoming a human rights lawyer or Prime Minister!

I went for a little taster session at the Manchester velodrome today with OH- after our session was over team GB came in and started training! Sir Chris Hoy and Victoria Pendleton were there! Exiting! (OH offered me a fiver to ask Sir Chris if he had bran flakes for his breakfast-I declined)

:)

strawberrypie · 14/10/2010 18:59

Have I just boobed (ha) and wished JS luck AFTER her interview? Ooops :(

jbells · 14/10/2010 19:35

i think JS interview is tomoro altho i cud be wrong to gudluck JS hope it goes well

bebejones · 14/10/2010 19:41

No tis today Blush

JustShaggingForNow Wed 13-Oct-10 16:11:34
Interview is tomorrow morning....... ARGHHHHH!

Hope it went ok JS!

DH said I was delusional this evening...think it was in reference to having another baby, although I can't be 100% sure Confused

AmandaCooper · 14/10/2010 21:03

Yes if they terminate your fixed term contract before the end of the term then that is wrongful dismissal. You should, as you say, be compensated for your unpaid wages up to the agreed termination date, plus your accrued holiday pay.

How long have you been employed by them?

AmandaCooper · 14/10/2010 21:05

Do you have any reason to think that it has anything to do with your pregancy, other than the fact that it's quite a coincidence?

What's the reason they have given for early termination?

bebejones · 14/10/2010 21:57

Can't believe there is a July bus! This year is flying past! Can't believe my DD was conceived nearly 3 years ago (she was due in July), doesn't seem possible!

JBells - I can't believe they could do something like that. Surely just sending you that in the post is like firing you, which they can't just do?! Confused Does seem a bit convenient after telling them you were pregnant. Although since your contract was nearly up anyway it's not like they were going to 'lose' you on mat leave!

OP posts:
AmandaCooper · 15/10/2010 07:23

Only just over a week till the August bus arrives, Bebe! The one after that could possibly (and I stress possibly) be ours!!

AmandaCooper · 15/10/2010 07:32

How did you go on JS?

Bebe I reckon delusional must qualify you for at least a quick visit to the-padded-carriage-for-women-who-want-crazy-things. Why don't other people's DP react this way?

nannyl · 15/10/2010 07:47

oooh!!! thats getting exciting!

I hope to be on the september bus too! Smile

bebejones · 15/10/2010 07:49

Yes shall be locking myself in the padded carriage for a few hours this morning, clearly there is something wrong with me! Hmm I mean who in their right mind would actually want a baby?! Hmm Wink

I'm hoping he was just joking, it was said in a sort of light hearted way Confused It wasn't even a proper baby conversation!

JS how did it go?

OP posts:
bebejones · 15/10/2010 07:51

x posts Nannyl! I'm trying not to get my hopes up about the September bus....but it is really exciting!! :)
