I found out that i am anaemic and have been started on iron tabs. My GP said that the anaemia would not be helping my ttc (along with irreg cycles) I am so annoyed with myself because for months i have been having dizzy episodes and my bp is a bit low(i check it at work) i should have got my iron stores checked ages ago! Angry

Just wondered if anyone in same situation??

I'm quite anaemic at the moment following a m/c at 9 wks but I didn't know it would affect my chances of conceiving again.

The gp said it'd take about 5 months for my levels to get back to normal; they are making me feel pretty rotten at the moment, that's for sure.

What's your hemoglobin level? Mine's 8.1 at the moment.

I'm anaemic, always borderline but drops lower if I'm not eating well (heavy periods and a familial propensity). I also have low bp (again always have).

No problems conceiving and was never told it would be an issue, just warned to try and keep levels as high as possible so that I felt well and had a good delivery.

thanks daisy and raised Smile my Hb is ok it's my iron stores that i really low. Think what GP meant that it is important to be in tip top shape when ttc to aid conception not that it would stop me Wink
Have had really heavy periods since ds was born so obviously a big factor!

xx
