Have had similar type surgery and became a parent as a result.

You've had a lap before and was diagnosed with endometriosis. Why are they doing it again this time around?. Endo can and does recur.

Have they discussed such surgery properly with you, it is vitally important that you can all work as a team here.

I can give you some questions to ask these people re the lap if you want. I'd be glad to put them up for you.

A lap is usually done if endo is suspected. What you do NOT want is another exploratory lap where they say you have endo but they have not managed to remove it (this would entail yet more surgery).

You should also be given an appt a week or so post op to discuss the lap's findings. They certainly should not be talking to you about the findings of the lap post surgery!.

Im 21 years old, I had a lap at the age of 13 and was diagonsed with endo.. was told I had it serverly and was unable to be removed.
I was told I wouldnt be able to conceive,
Since having that I had recurrent ovarian cysts and had them removed surgically. I fell pregnant at age of 17 and had my son in 2007. I since fell pregnant again 9 months after having my son but miscarried at 10 weeks. After my miscarriage my periods stopped for a year and returned to be VERY irregular (bleeding one day and not the next) Me and my partner have been trying again for another baby and yet nothings happened. My consultant has opt for me to have a lap and dye so he can see how the endo has changed and to all see if any visible reson for infertility :(
Im happy the tests are being done, hopefully will have some results and then can all be treated.
Id be happy to hear your questions and answers u were given :)

Me and DH were TTC last year. fell PG very quickly but sadly MC at 9 weeks. We immediatly began to try again but nothing happened. After 11 months of TTC I had a lap and dye. Fell PG 2 weeks after the op! I'm now 33 weeks. Consultant said I had very mild endo. He also said that alot of women fall PG after a lap and dye and they are not sure why... They think maybe the dye clears the tubes. Good luck!
