Yes me! I googled like mad, came up with...half a teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda in water, worked for me, and is safe to take when ttc/pregnant.

Hope you feel better soon...nothing worse!.

Did read though that it can be a sign of early pregnancy, only good thin about it!Smile.

Thank you very much! Been taking paracetamol to manage the discomfort, however burning sensation: not nice to put it lightly! Away from home at the moment, but will try your tip. Thankyou once again!

Yeah I had this 4/5 DPO this cycle - it's vile, isn't it? Get cranberry juice and drink a glass like every hour (if you can get cranberry tablets from healthfood shop and some supermarkets and take one every two hours). I asked a pharmacist and they said that the Canesten/Cystem sachets are safe to take up until a confirmed pregnancy anyhow. HTH.

Make sure if there's any blood or cloudiness you see a doc though, because you really don't want a kidney infection, speaking as a cystitis veteran!

Thank you so very much for your invaluable advice ladies, I appreciate it more than you will ever know. I have less burning feeling after the bicarb drink, but lower abdominal and back pain - about 4 on a level of 1 to 10. Today after doing a wee there was some bright red bleeding on the tissue. Just the once. Subsequent wees blood free. Worried out of my head. We are away from home at the moment,as it doesn't constitute an emergency I don't particularly want to see a doc. Completely confused now. We're back home late tomorrow evening. What did the bleed mean? Period due Wednesday, but this bleeding stopped just as quickly as it started?

Was the blood in the urine or from elsewhere? If it's in the wee, a bit of blood and cloudiness indicates a urinary tract infection which if not treated can back up the urinary tract until it gets to the kidneys, which is pretty painful. An antibiotic sorts it out. Mind you it's been a while since I've had one.

If the blood was from elsewhere then implantation perhaps? Bright red, you say?

fedupttcnosuccess · 12/09/2010 21:59

Yes: if anything: slightly pink tinge-like. Not sure where it came from. Just on the tissue as I wiped afterwards, sorry tmi! Had to wipe five times until completely clean, but none since then. Been to the toilet three times in as many hours: nothing to report: just very slight burning, with dull achy tummy and lower back.

Three times in as many hours? Don't want to sound dismissive but three times in ten minutes was what I had when I was hospitalised with it! I'd imagine that if it took 5 wipes, then it wasn't wee-based! Do a pg test in a few days.

There is no such thing as TMI here GrinGrin
