Brown spotting before period, what does this mean?

I think I'm clutching at straws but have been ttc for some time and have never had brown spotting/discharge before a period, I normally just get cramps and go straight to full flow.

Am day 24 of a 27-31 day cycle, is my body just messing with me?

Hi, it sounds like old blood which could be implantation? Do you have any other symptoms at all?

so you are not due for a few days yet normally?

Implantation happens around a week after conception and is accompanied with minor tummy cramps usually, not bad ones though.

How do you feel in yourself? have you done any tests yet?

No I haven't done any tests......I keep checking for symptoms but think I only have imaginary ones. :(

Not really due until about Sunday or even Tues if same as last month. I have slight tummy cramps too.

I guess it could go either way and I know some people 'spot' every month it's just not happened to me before.

Also am going out tonight and was wondering whether or not to drink.....

So did you drink? i felt it was always best to stay cautious just in case. Plus if you do start having symptoms you'll feel awful with a hangover. I also gave up on caffiene early on (actually i think this helped me conceive i'm sure)

So glad someone else has asked this question as the same thing has happened to me this month - I don't think I'm pg but good to find out why it might be happening.

Yeh I did drink.....I don't know what to think really, don't have any other symptoms.

I had one pregnancy last year that ended early in a mmc and I didn't have any symptoms then until at least 5 weeks.

To be honest I think I am clutching at straws, I just hate it that my body has changed the 'pattern' this month because it makes me think....ooh maybe this means something.

I don't really drink caffeine at all anyway.

I know when i was ttc my body did that and even now it still gives me all sorts of symptons that even convince my dr but then no baby. Very annoying.

Any news yet? have you got AF yet?

Unfortunately yes, AF turned up yesterday :(

Is so annoying, why did my body decide to do that this month......oh well, on to next month.
