I'm going to have my coil removed sometime soon.

We go on holiday in 10 days, for a fortnight. Usually DH works away from home all week. Now, i was going to wait till we were back before having it removed, as i don't want to have AF on hols,BUT, after reading some of the archive threads you can get pregnant straight away, i'm not sure.

My worry is that my fertile days won't ever coincide with a weekend, in which case we're stuffed!

Do you think it would be a good idea to have my coil out before the hols, then we've got a "good run" at it, as it were

I would be very grateful for some advice, as i don't have anyone to discuss it with in RL.

TIA. (sorry for rambling!)

Have it removed.... as you can't control when you will come back on...

Hi again was told to go straight to hospital was bleeding too much. I stayed overnight and theyve put me one 2 types of tablets for the bleeding and the pain. If it lasts longer then a week 1 gotta go back.

allthegirls, to remove it they just pull the strings. doesn't hurt as much as when it goes in. i've seen some people say on other coil threads that they've removed it themselves. i'm not sure if that would be a good idea, i'd be worried about damaging the cervix.
