Hello there.

I posted here a couple of days ago in a state of confusion.

Had taken 2 pg tests - one First Response (+ve) and one Clear Blue digital (-ve)

thought the positive must be pg hormones after a mc I had at the beginning of aug.

This evening I took a regular clearblue and a clearblue digital and got 2 +ves.

I feel this must be a new pregnancy rather than hormones after the mc as my hormone levels have obviously risen if the digital test was -ve on Tues and +ve Wed.

All very weird as I struggled to conceive in the past and now seem to conceive v.easily at the age of 40 Wink

Who knows if this will work out; only time will tell.

Bloody hell MsLucy - was scanning down the active convos and saw your name against the OP. That;s lovely news - fingers crossed all goes well.

mslucy · 02/09/2010 20:51

I was just waiting for a Fab Febber to come out of the woodwork.

All very weird.

We shall see.

Congrats and fingers crossed that this one sticks Grin.

kat2504 · 02/09/2010 21:04

congrats at your good news my fingers are firmly crossed for you. I agree that if you got a negative on a test and then a positive on the same brand, that should be a new bfp. Really hope so for you. Also mc recently and know exactly how much it will mean to you to have good news again. I did read recently that fertility goes up a bit after mc......

mumoverseas · 04/09/2010 17:18

yay for mslucy from another fab febber Grin Us 40 year olds are more fertile than people imagine Wink

mslucy · 04/09/2010 17:47

Thought I had period yesterday as started bleeding at about 6pm.
No bleeding in the night or this morning - AF has left the building (if she was ever here)
did cheapo Sainsbury's test this lunchtime and still +ve.
will call EPU Mon and ask for blood tests as still confused.

I had light implantation bleeds both pregnancies MsLucy - hope its just that.

mumoverseas · 04/09/2010 18:42

I had bleeds too with 3 and 4 Grin

mslucy · 05/09/2010 17:59

still no bleeding and sore boobs.
going to test again tomorrow and call the hospital.
Not sure what's going on, but stayed off the booze just in case!

MOS/Dinky - can u remember when you had the bleeds - ie what stage in the pg?

OP posts:
dinkystinky · 05/09/2010 18:01

It was just before I discovered I was pregnant with DS1 - and just after with DS2. So sometime between 6 and 8 weeks I think.

mslucy · 05/09/2010 18:09

I think I'm even earlier than that - should have got my period Mon/Tues.

The bleeding was very light and lasted from about 6pm until midnight.

If it was a period it would surely have come back by now - if it was an early mc as well wouldn't it be heavier than normal anyway?

mslucy, have posted on your other thread, but thought I would just say that implantation bleeds can occur anywhere from 3 weeks onwards (7 days post ovulation), bleeding without cramps is very common in early pregnancy. As well as implantation bleeding you can get breakthrough bleeding which is when the bleeds occur when af would have been due. There are other causes for bleeding too, cervical erosion, etc. Just want to reassure you that bleeding itself does not necessarily mean another miscarriage. It does sound like you had classic implantation bleeding, I hope that the hospital are able to put your mind at rest when you go tomorrow.

dinkystinky · 05/09/2010 18:37

To be honest MsLucy - it could have been even earlier than I remember. While meticulous with time keeping and dates in my professional life, I'm rubbish at that stuff when it comes to my personal life and pregnancy...

EdieMcredie · 07/09/2010 12:51

Any update?

mslucy · 07/09/2010 13:06

Got 5th bfp yesterday morning. Tiny, tiny bit of spotting that lasted a couple of wipes (TMI)
Rang EPU and they say there is no other explanation other than pg.
Going for scan next Wed - if it stays with me that long!
Just taking every day as it comes
