Just wondering about this, as my periods have virtually stopped since I came off the pill. (Apologies if this is an extremely stupid question!)

You can ovulate before your periods return but then you'd expect to have a period some time afterwards assuming you hadn't conceived.

But no you don't carrying on ovulating without periods iyswim.

You can ovulate for a month without a period. I conceived DS before my periods came back after having DD.

You still need to ovulate to get pregnant naturally.
