On day 16 and had some light pink spotting, hardly anything really. Had this last month 12 days before period started (cycles only just settling after birth in June). I've read it can be related to ovulation. Does anyone know if it occurs at the time of ovulation or just before/after?

have read can be due to follicle rupture - what do you think? Thanks

Hey there, yes I had it before, and they put it down to follicle rupture, though I have no clue really. They did do all the tests to rule out other stuff and finally said it was that. It stopped on it's own. I did have it once before and that was cervical erosion. But that showed up after sex and not necessarily mid cycle. So if it is regular I would say it is ovulation related.

Is it a sign that it's already happened (and what sort of time frame) or about to?

I think just happened, but really don't listen to me. It's just that IF it is follicle rupture then it means it just released the egg. Of course it may not be follicle rupture. I think adviseable to check all new weird bleeding with the GP.

I've read that spotting around ovulation time is a sign that you're super fertile. I had it once the month after an MMC early this year. I think it happens, as you've said, at the point of actual ovulation. If it happens often you might wanna check it out with GP - but it sounds like you maybe just had a very strong sign that you ov'd that month. Smile
