Welcome to our new thread where everyone's welcome. Sit back with your favourite drink and get all those 'suspicious' symptoms off your chest including the ever popular suspicious boob (sb).

If you're squeamish this may not be the thread for you, as this thread is dedicated to those with strange goings on where no symptom is TMI.

Good luck to us all for that elusive BFP to arrive soon. Who'll be the first to get one?

Oh Bossy poor you. I understand how you must be feeling but really can't think of the right words to say to you. I think it's because I've had so many MCs that I know nothing makes it feel any the less soul destroying. Try to think of the positives though (I know it's hard to find anything positive about a MC, no matter how early, but please try). One positive is that at least you did get a bfp so your body's doing something right. Another one is that your much more likely to get another bfp within the first 6 months after a MC. Apparently nobody knows why but those 6 months are shown to be more fertile than any other 6 month period. Some doctors tell you to wait 3 months until you try again but this is mainly for their ease of dating the subsequent pregnancies. I fell pregnant with my DS just a week after my first MC and he was fine. As long as you and your DH are emotionally up to another pregnancy there's no need to stop TTC. I hope you're ok and can see the positives and stay strong, even though I know it seems impossible at the moment. Sending you lots of . If you ever need to talk I'm here for you xxx

ShelleyLou I'm so happy for you. I really do hope everything continues well for you. I'm so pleased you've got your special day or at least very close to it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you that everything stays healthy. Congratulations

Thanks addicted. I'm trying not to get my hopes up but things seam to be going well so far > I ovulated 2 days before the special day so its entirely possible i have got it. I got really panicy last night probably irrationally so. When i had my last MC i didnt go to my mum as my gran was staying there and grans staying again atm so its another coincidence with the last one. Trying not to think of anything like that though positive thoughts that DS will have a baby brother or sister soon and my dream last week was a premonition type one.

The charity event i did was for a registered charity in memory of my younger brother so i have a JustGiving Site and got the local newpaper etc involved.

ADDICTED your ds has the same birthday as mine he'll be a big 4!! ARGH i have no idea where the last 4 years have gone. Hopefully his birthday this year will be more of a celebration for him it was awful last year. I went through some of his box the other day too and that made me really broody didnt go througgh his first clothes though as 1 of them would just upset me a red velour sleepsuit with santa's face on it which my db bought him for his first christmas.

Can I join in please? 1 day late, symptoms are a metallic taste, sore boobs and feeling rather sick. I'm sure I'm being wistful, as I always get sore boobs with AF and the nausea is probably more to do with making toffee apples today and eating tons of toffee and then having a ham and onion chutney sandwich, but I'd love DC3 so I'm just enjoying the dreaming whilst it lasts!

AddictedToRadley · 09/11/2010 05:51

Sorry I've been rather neglectful lately but had nothing to say!! Had day 21 blood tests done yesterday and get all results on 6th Dec. Doubt it anything will happen this month as I just couldn't be bothered to bd at the right time, well just once.

Shelleylou Hope your dc had a fab 4th birthday yesterday. My ds had a whale of a time!

Welcome to everyone joining.

shelleylou · 09/11/2010 09:48

He did have a fantastic time thanks glad your ds had a fab day

bossyboop · 09/11/2010 13:12

did manage to get some cheap FR tests from amazon just over £6 for 2 and some of the cheapo sticks too to keep me going. Got super stretchy ewcm, didnt have that yesterday, maybe ovulating earlier this time i dont know, will have to keep at it i guess. It was the super strecthy ewcm that was the giveaway last month that we had been successful but never mind onwards and upwards!

AddictedToRadley · 10/11/2010 00:33

I'm so sorry for you Bossy. Fingers crossed for a better outcome this month. If it's not to be for any of us then the least our AFs can do is be on time so we don't get our bloomin' hopes up!!

Hi all! Been TTC for 2 months now, ovulation finished around last Friday/Saturday so now it's a waiting game until next Fri/Sat!
Have been having a couple of symptoms since last week which is normally too early for it to be AF.....but still not sure! I normally only get symptoms a few days before - to get sore boobs nearly 2 weeks in advance is strange!
Had a bit of backache, strange pains in my abdomen (but not painful pains, if that makes sense) but the main symptom is very sore & sensitive nips! I'm also convinced that they're gone darker but DP couldn't see any difference!
I know it was far too early to test but couldn't resist as it was only a coupla quid from the supermarket but it was no surprise that it was a BFN.
So.....everything crossed for next weekend and in the meantime, anything out of the ordinary I'm convincing myself is a sign!!!
Blush

franjam · 10/11/2010 15:02

Ooooh and also seem to need the loo a lot more than normal.... Grin

AddictedToRadley · 12/11/2010 06:07

Good luck Franjam. The 2ww is always the longest couple of weeks ever!

Does anybody fancy doing a Christmas swap/MN secret santa? We need more people to join so it will be more fun. It'll take the edge off TTC well for a few mins anyway!! Hope to see you all join here

OP posts:
franjam · 12/11/2010 13:32

Thanks Radley! Having almost convinced myself I was pregnant, I'm now feeling decidedly unpregnant! Not really got any symptoms now but I suppose the implantation might not have happened yet?
This wait is driving me mad! I was determined that I wouldn't get obsessed with TTC but I think I am! When I told DP last night that I would be gutted if I wasn't pregnant he said 'well we could be trying for months yet'.
I know he's right but I'm not sure I can cope with many more 2WWs!
The problem we have is that we only have a certain amount of time to conceive due to DP having a vasectomy reversal back in June and he also has a v low sperm count. I reckon it would be beyond lucky if I was pg this month... Sad

AddictedToRadley · 13/11/2010 02:27

Don't worry Franjam you're completely normal. Once you start trying for a baby you want need it to happen immediately otherwise it drives you potty!

I just can't wait for the day that I get a bfp again as at least I have a card so that I'll be scanned the next working day so they can keep a really close eye on things. I feel better knowing that although must admit I'm so impatient to be pregnant. I only wanted an 18month-2year gap between my ds and the next dc. That's well out of the window now as he was 2 last Monday so it's looking more like a minimum of a 3 year gap. Sad

How's everyone doing? It seems very quiet on here lately. Have we all lost the will to symptom spot?

shelleylou · 13/11/2010 12:31

Hi ladies best of luck hope you all get BFP's soon. I'm leaving the thread x

AddictedToRadley · 13/11/2010 15:28

Did you get your bfp shelleylou?

OP posts:
shelleylou · 13/11/2010 17:12

no i didn't get it, no longer TTC. DS can stay an only

Ilovemarmite79 · 13/11/2010 18:04

Hi I have been TTC for 5 months. This month used OT and ovulated on 2nd/3rd On Thursday (11th so 9days po) I had really cramps but also a lot of wind (!). Yesterday and today I've had the odd twingge which could be nothing and acid reflex. What do you think? Is it worth doing a first response test or should I wait? (AF due 17th)

batty78 · 13/11/2010 21:53

Hi, I'm new on here and looking for a bit of advice/reassurance/potential diagnosis?! I had mmc April 07, my dd Sept 08, started trying again around Sept 09 and have since had 3 mc (at 7, 9 and 5 wks). GP told me after last one (last month) not to test on 1st day of missed period but to leave it a week or so, so as not to get my hopes up and then dashed if mc is an early one. But letter from consultant says to call EPAU as soon as I get a positive so they can monitor me. Hmmm.
If I'm keeping to a 28 day cycle (I used to, but been trying not to keep notes recently as I was obsessing) I was due Wed, so hopes raising slightly... Then this morning dd was clambering over me in bed and generally poking and prodding and I noticed yellowish liquid coming out of my right nipple. My first thought was "milk production! Woo hoo! BFP here we come!) but then i started to worry there's something wrong, cos my milk was definately white when I was bf-ing and I've no other symptoms of pregnancy. Anyone else had anything like this? Confused

AddictedToRadley · 14/11/2010 09:43

Shelleylou
I really don't know what to say other than are you ok with that decision? It mustve been a hard one to come to and I applaud your strength. I don't think I could be that strong and think I'll still be ttc no2 until I either succeed or I'm 90 years old!! Grin

Ilovemarmite79
Firstly I have to say yuk yuk yuk. Marmite?! Hmm
I've had lots of mc's and have also been told to ring epu to have a scan as soon as I get a bfp so I'll be following their advice. They need to know if baby has a heartbeat when I mc and they're experts in their field rather than gp who knows a little about a lot. I would advise following epu not gp. However I would say you should try to wait until the day after your af's due to do a test if you can be that strong. You're much more likely to get a correct result that way rather than a disappointing bfn that's inconclusive. I'd rather have af the witch turn up than a bfn. Either way good luck.

Batty78
I'm not an expert and I'm sure someone on here will be more experienced than me but I didn't want to leave your post unanswered so here's my personal thoughts (perhaps Google it if unsure still):
I hope I can reassure you a little that whenever I've had BM leakage (I was never able to bf for health reasons) it's always been a creamy colour almost yellowy tinged. I would assume the white bm your talking about would be actual feeding milk iykwim rather than colostrum which has a creamy yellow colour. So don't worry about that. If you get a bfn this month you MUST go to the drs to get checked out (I don't want to scare you but better safe than sorry especially when you're a mummy). When are you going to test? It sounds very positive and I hope you get a bfp. I've had 7 pregnancies, 7 mc's and 1 precious ds (ds was a twin) and some I've had no symptoms and others I've had every symptom going so you can't always compare what symptoms you had with dc1 as it's often completely different (especially if it's a different sex baby - I assume). Good luck and do come back and let us know as soon as you do.

Now what I'm going to do now is going to be very very cheeky and very un-mumsnet of me but I'm going to be shameless for once!! Shock After the very difficult start in life my little boy had (with his birth, several serious health problems and the attempted abduction when he was 5 mths old) I think he deserves to be spoilt and pampered so I've entered him into the Next baby competition He's doing very well and is currently in position 3,853 out of a total of almost 87,000 entries but there's only 24 prizes and just 2 days left to vote (voting closes at 12 on 16th Nov). If you haven't entered your dc into the 19-36 month group please vote for my ds link here
If you've entered your dc into the 0-18month category let me have the link and I'll vote for your dc in return. Thank you and I'm sorry for being so unashamedly forward but I think James deserves a treat!!

Addicted I don't need to be aplauded for strength. It wasn't a decision i came to its something that is a direct result of something else. Its hard to TTC when your single. As awful as it sounds I'm kinda glad I had that MC not sure i could cope going through a pregnancy with all this aswell.

bossyboop · 14/11/2010 15:42

Oh shelleylou, big hugs for you, you know where we are if you need to talk about it.

Radley ive voted, and how cute too! I had a few pleas on facebook for votes and couldnt decide on where to cast my vote as it was friends versus family so to pick someone entirely different makes it easy for me Smile

DD is poorly so DH is in the doghouse for being far too busy with his social life to either notice or care, so im knackered and hope she is better soon. So just as well im on the 2ww and dont need him fo anything lol though after last months chem i dont know what will happen this cycle, but so what, xmas is coming, will have my tree up in a couple of weeks wahoo!

batty78 · 14/11/2010 19:38

Thank you Addicted I think I'm going to get a test tomorrow and then do it Tues am, so that way it's very nearly a week, so I'm being a good girl for GP, and if it's a bfp I can ring EPU asap. If not I'll ring the docs about the wierdy 'milk'. Since I've sat down tonight I've started to get strong twingy pains in my left side. Trying not to read anything pos or neg into that. Will concentrate on Strictly and X-factor instead :)

shelleylou · 15/11/2010 11:44

Thanks bossy, I'm lucky to have a couple of close female friends i can talk to and my parents. Mum's making sure i eat lol.

franjam · 15/11/2010 13:06

Batty - quick question about the twingy pains you're getting.....whereabouts is it hurting?
