TTC first cycle off the pill and waiting to ovulate? Come chat!

Anyone else TTC first cycle coming off the pill? CD 17 here and no sign yet of ovulation. Where is this rumoured boost in fertility straight after coming off the pill?!?

I'm a bit worried that I missed a chance as we didn't start SWI until a few days ago, but I've been charting the whole cycle and have had no rise in temperature.

It's driving me mad!

Well I'm slightly ahead of you , cycle 3 after coming off the pill in June. Was on it for over 10 years.
No ovulation first month, but second month on day 19 and this month on day 15. Periods back to 28 day clockwork! Amazing what the body remembers after being on the pill so long.
So I wouldn't worry, I think the fertility boost might happen for some but not all. We are all different.

Thanks, DrHeather, it's good to know that your cycle sorted itself out after an initial cycle without ovulating. If it's not TMI, can I ask if you had a normal AF that cycle, and after how many days?

I'm still hoping that we'll get a chance this cycle, but we had initially been planning to start TTC next month anyways, so it's not really a big deal. I'm just feeling impatient now that we've decided to start trying!

Yes it is TTC#1 for us and like you I am totally impatient!
My AF has not been what it was. Very brief (3 days) and only 1 day of what I would call proper bleeding. No CM yet either, which I understand might take longer to return.
I have endometriosis so am conscious of that coming back, the longer I'm off the pill. Currently on the 2ww after our 3rd month trying.

What is odd is recognising your body and its natural signs after years of surpressing them. I got strong ovulation pain and really sore boobs. Aside from the temp rise, there was no mistaking that I was ovulating!

I'm looking forward to all of the signs returning...in the meantime, I'm charting and wasting a lot of OPKs (as my CM is sporadic at the moment and I keep waking up at different times, making my temperature charting a bit erratic!). Need to buy some cheapie OPKs on the internet because this is getting expensive!

I got 30 opks for around 7£ on amazon. They are very sensitive and great value. They also sell pregnancy tests for the same price. you have to pee in a cup and then dip them in but who minds for that price?

I just bought a pack...I will be doing this every day until my natural signs become more obvious again!
