Late but negative tests, how likely that they are wrong?

I am about a week late which is unknown for me but have done 3 tests this week (hate not knowing!!), 2 of them first thing in the morning, and all 3 have been neg.
I have 3 dc already and all of them were conceived either in the first month of trying or from a one off accident and I had unprotected sex twice this month (although at start of month) so quite likely I'm pg but surely 3 negs is a pretty definite neg? So why haven't I come on?!

not nessaceraly, it depends when you actually concieved, as sperm can last up to 7 days in your body say you might have concieved later on in your cycle or your hormones are just not high enough to be picked up yet, a lady on here was late and kept doing tests that were neg, she finally got a bfp on day 12 of being late. you could go to your docotr and ask for a blood test, they pick hormones up quicker than pregnancy tests

im a little bit late too, should have been spotting on monday but no signs as yet. On tuesday I got a tiny bit of blink and you miss it bloody streak in my cm. I googled implantation and found a site which said from implantation it can take 3-4 days for a blood test to come back positive and then a further 2-3 days after that for a hpt to come back positive. I guess everyone is different but im hoping thats what it is for me otherwise this has been the most cruel cycle yet. Good Luck

12 days?! I can't wait 12 days without knowing!! I think if nothing chages over the weekend I'll do another test Monday and if still neg then I'll go to the Dr, although saying that I'm working flat out next week so won't get a chance! Hmm, may have to just wait and keep testing after all.
The first 2 tests I did were from poundland, are they as reliable as other tests or am I better off spending a bit more? It was a poundland one I used with ds2 and was very clear bfp when I was only a day or 2 late but given all the negative tests I'm questioning them now.
Don't think its late conception as the last time I could have conceived from was about 3 1/2 weeks ago now.
Bossyboop, thank you. Its horrible waiting isn't it? TBH at the moment we're not 100% going for another baby, I think being stuck at home all summer hols with 3 dc of my own and childminding other ppl's was putting me off the idea of adding another child into the mix a little bit but now I'm this late and thinking about it this much more I think I'll be a bit gutted if I'm not!

ive used poundland ones but they are standard ones and not sensative 25mul. i used a sensative one this time, predictor and there 12.5mul, so alot more sensative and they are 3.95, so quite cheap really. that gave me a bfp 4 days before period due, they sell them in wilkinsons and places like that all tests taken at the right time are 99% but some just pick it up earlier. if you want to go for a more expensive sensative test theres always first response

I used a test that can predict up to 4 days early but if takes up to 6 days after implantation for a hpt to become positive then that certainly wasnt going to work when I used it on the day I thought it may have been implanting! I used the 4 day early test got a bfn, wiped then saw the red tinge. I thought how typical, af to start after using a test but ive had nothing else since. Im doing a pee of doom as im calling it - poas with cheapie sticks every morning but wont use my other 4 day early test until I get a bfp on the cheapie tests.

Its more likely you're not pregnant. I have been two weeks late twice in my life, looking back once was stress and once illness. Drs tell you not to bother them with late but negative' unless you miss two periods.

The test I used this morning was a superdrug one my friend had left that says it can tell from 4 days early but still neg. If she hadn't had that I was going to buy first response, going to tesco tomorrow so may have a look at what tests they've got.

Well if my last pgs are anything to go by I'll know if I get to 3 to 4 weeks late from the horrendous morning sickness that always starts then!!
I'm no more stressed or ill than normal but could just be very late for some reason, its just frustrating that it happens the one month when I actually could have got pg!!

depends what sites you look on, generally it can be as early as 5dpo right up to when af is due

says on the internet it can take anywere from 7-14 days from sexual intercourse to implantation.

I've had 2 false negs with a previous pg before getting a bfp and that was when I was about 14 wks pg so it has happened to me before but 3 just seems so much more of a no iyswim?!
Have a party with all dp's family tomorrow night with hotel booked for the night so we can both drink but think I may have to say I'm on antibiotics or something and try and cope with them all sober just incase I am!!
