Just read this about soy isoflavones for those who have trouble ovulating

www.twoweekwait.com/newsletter/2006-01/#1

"What was interesting is that 75% of the women who tried Soy Isoflavones got a BFP in their FIRST cycle trying."

Impressive no? Smile

Has anyone tried them and had success?

I'm new to the site thought I'd tell you about my experience using soy ISO, I already have two boys and had a mmc July last year, we have been ttc since but I'm 41 now so its not so easy.
I took 80mg soy CD 2-6 ovulated on Saturday really strong ovulation cramp( I never get that) so af is due on the 28th this month, fx she won't arrive!! I will post back and let you know xx

I love the idea of a wonderpill or herbal clomid...... but isn't clomid dangerous used un-monitored? I'd be wary of taking it tbh, herbal doesn't automatically mean it's safe Confused

decolimummy · 17/01/2012 17:48

Everything ive read about it seems safe enough, i know nothing is 100% safe but im willing to give it a try, to be honest i will try anything( within reason) x

Hi, i tried this for 3 months, at 120mg and didn't ovulate, but then i'm not ovulating (yet) on Clomid either so that's not to say it wouldn't work for others.

OOH new messages! Thanks guys. Popcorn, that is totally true. Personally I would never take it if I didn't have PCOS and trouble ovulating (and, often, completely annovulatory cycles). This is what happened to me

  1. first cycle took a reduced dose, nothing much happened
  2. second cycle, took a bit more, ovulated on day 18 (!!!!) and completely missed my window!
  3. third cycle, same dose, ovulated and I think got window but no joy
  4. fourth cycle the same and BFP!

My lovely DS is now almost six months old. Grin

I think it's worth researching in any case. Good luck, ladies. :)
