implantation bleed or early period just off pill

hi,

came off pill about 3 weeks ago. had unprotected sex on 16/8/10. feel preg, a little sick on and off, bigger boobs, funny taste, like perfume in my mouth.

tonight i noticed a bit of brown blood, more tissue than 'blood blood'. wondered if this maybe implantatin or a result of coming off the pill. preg tests have been neg, but i believe you cant test until after implantation anyway? my period would be due on 30/8/10

Anyone been through for similar??

I had the same when i came off the pill to start ttc#2-the perfume taste esp and i was convinced i was pregnant. I had a 6 week cycle that month and wasnt pregnant.boo. Sorry to give you very discouraging news

But don't give up hope just yet cause every womans body is different!!!

Well, it's still a bit early to test. I did have lots of phantom pregnancy symptoms a few cycles back (and I've had 4 pgs - 2mc's, 1 chem preg, 1 DC ) and I would have bet £100+ I was pg that time, but I wasn't.

I don't think implantation would happen this late if you're due on 30th, but then, having only just come off the pill your cycle probably won't immediately go into your usual cycle, so you could have ov'd late.

A pg test won't positive until implantation has happened, because your body won't start producing the pg hormones until after implantation.

As far as I know implantation blood would be bright red rather than brown but I don't know for definite.

Funny taste in mouth tends to be more unpleasant than perfumed! (a bit like you need to clean your teeth) lucky you to get a perfumed taste!

hi guys been away on hols just got back. bleeding continued for about 4 days on and off, very slight, never turned bright red or pink. did preg test on due day (wed) which was negative. haven't done another since too scared! have been feeling sick alternate days? funny taste not continuous. Not sure! Scared to test now, I think, (as neg before) if i was preg i would be destined to have a miscarriage as hcg must be low (have lost 6)
