Hi All,
Quick history - came off the pill in March. Period never returned. Normal blood tests but scan confirmed PCOS.
Got this diagnosis through private health insurance, consultant I saw was recommended by the insurers. She then recommended to get pregnant I should first off try Clomid. I was then transferred to her (private) care at the fertility centre she works at, CRGH.
I have had the worst 'service' from her in terms of keeping me informed with test results and the progress of my clomid cycle. Just finished the first cycle which did not result in ovulation. Not being able to get in touch with my consultant (she works there one morning a week
) I spoke to another doctor who told me what he would recommend if I was his patient (more clomid, this time combined with metformin). After my last scan the nurse called my consultant who said to leave it 2-3 weeks and then she was going to start my on some sort of injections - which seemed to be jumping the gun a little. I then call to get an appointment with her to be told the next space she had was 15th Sept
Long and short is I am going to change clinics. I was looking at The Bridge, which is good for me to get to for regular scans and such.
I just wanted to here of other people's experiences.
Thanks!
