ONE DAY PERIODS

Ever since I came off the pill 16 months ago my periods have never exceeded 2 days.

Is this a problem?
What could it be?
Anyone else has this problem?

i was kind of simular, i came of the pill and my periods went really strange. lasting 2 days and it wasnt even a prper bleed more like spotting. before they were really heavy lasting over a week most times and very painful. i have no idea what it was

having same thing... DS is 2 1/2, periods now are a day, quite heavy, and then a lighter second day. fizzles straight out.

had mirena before ttc DS, then again after - quickly decided it wasn't for me this time and light periods ever since..

my concern is that the womb lining isn't sufficient to enable implantation.. my GP sort of fluffed answering this.

Anyone else?

mine was only 2 days very light no heavy bleeding at all, and now im pregnant, so im sure you will be fine, newshoes

before DC my periods were very light literally lasting 36hrs and I only ever used regular or light tampons. Now after my boys, they last 5-6 days and I used super-plus tampons and a towel (sorry for the usual MN TMI). It was never a problem for me TTC so unless there is any change in your period, I would think that is normal for you

Don't want to put a downer on things, but my periods were always 5 days before pill. Then after they have been super light - spotting only for a few days and maybe a day of needing a tampon. And now been diagnosed with PCOS. But they are also very frequent - every 2 or 3 weeks. I suspect I'm not ovulating, but this would be due to the PCOS.

If you've been TTC for 16 months, I'd go and visit your GP.

Would also suggest you visit the GP in these circumstances as you have been ttc for over a year now without success.

My periods were very light afte i had DD, 8 years ago. Whilst on the pill I had no bleeding at all; since coming off it there were a day at most, but always accompanied by a lot of pain (inc when no bleeding).

Because of the pain I investigatd and it was discovered I had Asherman's Syndrome - adhesions in my uterus, caused by a c section.

After treatment this is now fine, although my periods remain very very short and light.

Did this hinder you TTC Hulababy? x

Hulababy · 17/08/2010 21:06

Sadly yes. Despite the ops and hRT therapy, and Clomid we never managed to have another child. Still not offocially stopped TTC, but been almost 6y now, so unlikley and as DD is now 8y chances are timings are no longer great anyway.

However, many people DO manage to have children after having treatment for Ashermans.

I went docs. He wants me to lost weight and get stress down. Will then test for infertility.
