49 days since my last period

hi everyone,
i stopped taking my pill at the end of june due to breakthrough bleeding and feeling generally unwell from it.i had my period which lasted a week instead of the usual 4days.my partner and i used condoms but i havent had a period since which will be 49 days since the first day of my last period.i did 2 tests last week,both were negative but still no period.i had terrible stomach cramps,backache and mood swings for 5days around my due date but that was it.im confused and dont know what to do.any advice would be appreciated

I think it's perfectly normal for a period to go AWOL after coming off the pill, it can take a couple of months to settle down. Maybe if you give yourself 3 months then visit the GP just to be sure?

What were your cycles like before you started taking the pill? If they were longer or even irregular there's no reason for that to change.

When I came off of the pill it took a whopping 5 months before I had my period and I suffered from hot flushes, cramps etc. They then came back but have gone AWOL again (suspected PCOS for me ) The doc says that it can take up to a year for your body to remember what it needs to do and think this could still be the case for me.

I am sure it will not take as long for you. I agree to go to the docs after 3 months although my docs said to give it 6mths and then they would do blood tests.
