How long does LH surge last for?

I did an Opk last night and it was positive, the line matched the other line. I thought I was mid cycle and have had ewcm etc. This morning I did another Opk out of curiosity and it was positive again and much darker then the control line. How long does the LH surge last for? I thought it would be negative this morning.

It lasts for around five days, but from my experience with my last pregnancy the best indication to ovulation is when you have clear discharge that will stretch from one finger to the next. I read three 'how to pregnant' books when trying and this was rated the best! From when you get this you should try on the first day especially as the sperm is carried by this mucus sometimes for a few days. So dont get up straight after sex and do some cycling with legs in the air!! Its a real turn on for them!but hey jobs done by then!!
It must work as my baby is 6 weeks old! ha ha! Also you can get the ovulation sticks on amazon 50 for £5! But the other method is loads better!

I have done one month of OPK and I got 2 positives, 24 hrs apart, on day 3 it had gone. Read somewhere else that sometimes it can last less than 24 hrs ( tho think that is rare ) as this lady had to test twice a day rather than once to pick up her surge.
