Has anyone actually had implantation bleeding?

I have always just thought it was one of those things that you hear about, but know no one who has had it actually happen. I think I had some implantation bleeding today and yesterday... if you have had it, when roughly did you have it in your cycle and how much 'spotting'. Hoping so much it is what I am experiencing.

Hello Smile
I've had implantation bleeding four times - first time was around when AF was due, just for an afternoon, and was a tiny bit of red. The second time was very similar, and was just for a few hours. The third time was just after getting a BFP and was light brown spotting for five days, and the last time was about 9/10dpo - very light brown spotting for two days.

As you can see it can be completely different each time, but I do find it difficult to figure out whether it's AF starting or whether it is actually IB. Makes me hopeful even when it is just AF, which is v annoying!

Has your spotting stopped now? I really hope for you that it is implantation bleeding Smile

My rule of thumb is to test about three days after the IB, if I can last that long! I think it takes about that for there to be enough hcg to get a +ve test... Good luck!!!

I had implantation bleeding with my third pregnancy about the time my AF was due, it lasted an afternoon and I actually thought that my AF had started.

I had it too - I had tested that morning ( christmas day! - was hoping it would be a lovely present for DH) and got a BFN. Then what I thought was AF arrived that afternoon, together with a pain like a stitch on my left hand side.

AF never kind of got going properly and I had really light bleeding for I think about 3 days. Guess you would call it spotting but I've never had spotting as such...then tested on 29th and got a BFP.

I think the bleeding must have started about 5/6 days before I was due.

Hope it is implantation bleeding for you, good luck!

Sorry should have mentioned that it was 8 years ago so can't remember how much spotting. Good luck thoughSmile.

OMG ladies, I am sitting here with goose bumps - some of these stories sound like mine.

OK - so my AF is due on Friday/Saturday this week - I have NEVER in my life spotted before an AF. It always just comes on really heavy and in large amounts (sorry TMI?).

Anyway, I was planning to do a pregnancy test tomorrow morning, but as ever couldn't wait, so did one on Tuesday - BFN. Was really down about it. Then yesterday, Wednesday, I noticed a really tiny bit of brownish spotting on my knickers and thought it was my AF coming, but when I wiped - nothing! The same thing happened yesterday.

I then spent hours googling and realised IB happens around this time in your cycle or rather can do. Sadly and rather stupidly, I had no idea. I assumed it happened really soon after ovulation (like a day or two).

Anyway, I have been going to the toilet every twenty minutes today and nothing! I have cramping and yes one side more the other Lobyd.

I didn't test for pregnancy this morning, trying to hold out to Saturday... (how the hell I am going to do that I don't know - I hardly slept last night). I just googled about how long the hcg levels take to increase and it all makes sense. As do your comments - thank you!

I am so hoping it is a BFP - I have lost one baby and had one healthy baby - so my nerves are not as good as they could be around this time.

Fingers crossed for me ladies and thanks so much for your stories. They really help settle my nerves.

xx

I didn't have any bleeding but had what I think was implantation crams, about ten days after when I assume I ovulated (based on cycle length rather than any actual evidence!) Got the BFP this morning. No blood of any kind has turned up.

Hi everyone! I’m really confused, I had a little bleed like dark red and then went then came back so had to wear a pad then disappeared again and now it’s more dark red as I wipe but a no flow period, I’ve got very bad cramps and back pain BUT did a pregnancy today and it came as a strong line and a very faint line? This is strange as I feel it could be a cheap test result but not sure, pls advice what you think?

With my 2019 baby, I had bleeding a few days after I expected my period. I assumed it was my period starting but then it stopped again the next day - and I then tested positive. Went on to have a healthy, straight forward pregnancy to give you some hope ❤️

DowntonCrabby · 28/10/2021 14:09

I had a tiny bit when we conceived DS but I’d have likely not noticed unless actively symptom spotting.

Areesa · 29/10/2021 00:06

Thanks! I’m so confused as it’s been a few days of on off little bleeds but unlike implantation bleeding it’s more dark red and feels very much like a no flow period. I’m cramping a lot in my back and my right side is twitching almost like I can feel my insides in some discomfort Confused

I appreciate all the support ❤️ it’s so nice to have a group that I can relate to.

Hi girls,

I was due to start my period on Wednesday. However since last Friday I've been spotting on and off. The colour is pink/brown and have had a little red. I usually have super heavy bleeding so doesn't feel like a period. This blood is so light I haven't required a pad or panty liner at all and the blood is only when I wipe. I have had some cramping on and off and that's when il go to toilet and notice a little bit of blood but then nothing else. I tested on monday/Tuesday both were negative. Do you reckon it could be implantation or am I just imagining it?
