Can I use Caneston pessaries and cream while TTC?

I think I might have thrush, and thought the cream etc would be fine but maybe not the tablet. But the box has warning not to use if PG or TTC, and to go see GP. I am pretty sure my GP told me last year it would be OK, but obviously am a little worried now.

Can anyone advise? (Oh, and if I did have to see my GP, I'd be looking at a week or more to get an appointment ... not exactly a good option).

YOur pharmacist should be able to advise you as well as a GP. You can use the pessaries and cream if you definately have thrush. I think partly the advice to see a GP is to check it is thrush and not anything else. Have you had thrush before - are you sure that's it?

I have had thrush before but a very long time ago, and it feels like it. TMI, but the CM is a bit 'cottage-cheesy' as well Blush, which is not normal for me. We've been SWI'ing like crazy so I wasn't sure if friction, irritation etc could do this? There's absolutely no chance it could be an STD. Is there anything else other than thrush or STD that could cause this.

Oh, and the Boots near us doesn't have a pharmacist, and our nearest is closed until tomorrow. If it is thrush, I don't want it to get worse but at same time don't want to do anything unsafe.

It could be a bacterial thing but Thrush is by far the most lilely thing. You could try getting up and going to the loo after sex as that may generally help with health 'down below' Grin I think you can use the cream till you can get some more advice. If that's helping that would suggest it is Thrush.

I had thrush 2 weeks ago, and went to my gp as the pharmacist wouldn't give me anything but the cream! She prescribed a pessary. Cleared it up really quickly.
