Hi all -

On day 8, back is a little achey, no EWCM yet but . . . I really want to get pregnant this month. Long story, very old, recent mmc. I didn't think I wanted to try again, but I can't shake the feeling that there's still another baby out there - even although I know it's actually really unlikely with my age and history.

So, I have decided I have this month and this month alone to try.

I know I can get all of this info if I trawl through a million threads, but can any of you give me some advice? When is the best time to try? Since the mmc, I've had a six week cycle, then a 25 day one, then a 28 day one, so I'm not too sure what's going on. I'm too late to start temping, too late to buy a CBFM (and they don't seem that great from what I can tell), and I'm not sure when to get started. Say I get EWCM on day 12, does that mean I have enough of a chance if I do it that day, or should I swi the day(s) before? Is it more important to SWI the days before and the day of EWCM, or the days after?

Thank you so much for any advice - I know I'm asking for it all in a hurry, and I'm being a right lazy cow by not doing the research myself, but I need to know whether to shave my legs tonight . . . .

Start swi asapSmile, every day if possible! just to cover all bases!,that way doesn't matter about charting, poas, opk sticks and cbfm monitor!... good luck!

Ah, you see I know that's the answer, but years of experience have also told me that I need to be strategic or my OH goes off the boil fairly soon!

Hey! soontobeagrownup - I'd echo what ljig says.

SWI now, tomorrow and the day after that if you can! and if by then you can manage, do it the next day just to be sure!

If you can get hold of some pre-seed do so, you want to get as many wigglers up there as you can over the next few days!

Get shaving!

can you get preseed off the high street at such short notice? and if yes, where from and what's it called? just trying to be helpful!

The legs have been shaved . . . all systems go . . .

So, from other threads, the advice seems to be all dietary - stop sugar and processed stuff, avoid carbonated drinks, no soya (I'm veggie so this is harder than you might think), lots of beans and pulses. Or am I too late with all of that - is it all for months pre-conception?

Anything else ladies? I'm avoiding things like pre-seed as my obstetrician said that things like that and expensive vits were a con, so only going for stuff that I can do myself if that makes sense.

as much foreplay as possible!

I've just been reading online the research done with sperm and lubricants, including preseed, the absolutely best approach is to be (sorry if TMI) as wet as possible so there is lots of friendly waters to swim in!
