Has anyone tested 4 days early with an early, senstive test, got a BFN and then afterwards gone to have a BFP?

Just wondering how common it is, and whether it really does make sense to just wait and save your money.

Yes, I bought one of those clear blue digitals and it came out negative so the next day I went and bought a cheapy and it came out +ve so yes they can be wrong. Another thing with any digital one that you do buy, the window will go blank after the battery has gone so if you are sentimental like me and like to keep these things then it's a bit dissapointing.

A good money saving tip if you are TTC is to buy a pack of internet cheapies off Ebay, they only cost a couple of quid and do the job perfectly. These are what I used for my 2nd and 3rd pregnancy.

Good tip, it's not just the money I want to save it's my mental well being, I was just wondering if testing early was reliable or just there to mess with my mind. However if I did have cheapies I could test daily with no guilty feelings... Oh how I hate this 2 week wait, it takes too long!

Well I have had +ve results by testing 10po but any earlier then I think you are wasting your money a little bit. Yes testing daily is addictive especially with the cheapies but try and protect yourself from getting dissapointed with an early -ve result. Good luck!

Yes. I had a BFN on the day AF was due with a CB Digital and then a BFP 5 days later :)

Of course it makes sense to wait and save your money, but let's face it, that never really happens when you're waiting for a BFP and you can test up to 5 days before your due!!! For both of my pregnancies I was negative on the big bucks tests (predictor, CB digital etc), but got the earliest + results with the tests that were 2 for £1 from the £1 shop!! (which I used to stock up on and do 2 a day Blush...)

Also - if you're wondering how to celebrate and happen to have used test to hand how about this You'll need to scroll down to about the 3rd pic down...
