Ok, so I had a whole load of blood tests (fasting) done on day 2 to see if I have any problems fertility wise..
I have the results but not sure what to make of them and am waiting till after my day 21 results before seeing the doctor.
My curiosity is too strong to 'just wait' so I have been googling and well, I thought there were some pretty clever gals on here who might be able to help.

Anyway: My glucose levels and FBC test were fine.
Normal ranges in brackets, as on form..

LH = 6.0 iu/L (couldn't find the figures for day 2-4 on the sheet)
FSH = 6.3 iu/L (6.2-13.8)
Oestradol = 166 pmol/L (74-187)
Testosterone = 0.8 nmol/L (0.35-2.6)
Serum sex hormone binding glob = 61 nmol/L (30-90)
DHEAS = 3.5 umol/L (3.6-9.9)

On an aside, it also came up that I had low Urea and Potassium levels as follows:
Urea = 2.4 mmol/L (2.9-7.1)
Potassium = 3.49mmol/L (3.5-5.0) so only just low..

I think the potassium one could be because I am on ventolin for asthma..

Anybody care to take a stab at what these mean fertility wise?
I gather LH and FSH being similar is a good thing, right? Tho the FSH looks low in the range... Couldn't find a range for LH..

Any help appreciated.

I don't know the others off the top of my head but your FSH number is very good. Anything below 10 is acceptable and below 8 good.

Have you been having problems ttc?

Yeah been almost a year (hence the bloods) and the ironic thing is I 95% KNOW i am ovulating as I get the positive OPK's the day before I get the 'fun' ovulation pains... So we know we are DTD at the right time (tho of course DTD at other times just in case).

Only thing in back of my head is that tubes might be blocked so the eggy can't get through... I guess that might be next on the investigation if we get no joy this month (ovulated on Sunday). DH will be doing his sperm test next week sometime to see how things are from that side.. and my day 22 blood will be taken next monday, tho my BBT chart has shown the expected rise.. Feel like I am monitoring to distraction but need to have the information for the docs if there is something wrong..

Never thought we'd have a problem this time around as DS was virtually an immaculate conception (we weren't trying and there was only 1 'instance' of "oh woops" followed by "leave it to fate").
Thinking allsorts at the moment as I had mirena taken out about 18 months ago and since read god knows how much -ve stuff about them on the internet in relation to fertility problems afterwards... :/
Trying to steer clear of google for such subjects now..

good luck. ask the consultant but i'd think if you've had a child, it's somewhat unlikely your tubes would have become blocked since then.
that said, i couldn't conceive for nearly two years after two easily-conceived miscarriages, then had my tubes tested (they were clear) and got pregnant a couple months later. the consultant said it can sometimes give you a fertility boost, because they get extra cleared out from running the dye through.

Thanks. Still under the GP at this stage. I think if there is nothing obvious to pick up on in the bloods/sperm test, referral is next...

Crossing everything for this month, I'd rather not have to go through all the prodding and poking if I can help it..

Is this any good?

I poured over it while I had my blood tests done.

This might be useful too.

best of luck!
