I have had several chemical pregnancies (testing positive around cd31 which is late for me as I have a 25-27 day cycle) which have failed to progress. I am worried about this and wonder if I can do anything to aid implantation. I also had a mmc in Feb.

I am already taking epo, vit b and folic acid. what other supplements can I take. Would it harm to take baby aspirin? I don't have a diagnosed clotting disorder, did have a dvt in my first pregnancy and had tests etc then.

and what about Agnus Castus?

Hi Beattiebow, I'm sorry to hear about your chemical pregnancies.

I confess I don't know anything about things that might help implantation, but I do know about aspirin. Please don't start taking aspirin for any more than a few days without speaking to a doctor first.

I know that sometimes women are advised to take it in specific circumstances, but as aspirin is a drug with serious side affects (in healthy people there is an increased risk of stroke) this should be done under the advice of a medic. The view of aspirin and it's affects has changed in the last year in light of some new research.

If your doctor recommends it (after assessing your past history, ie the DVT) then fine, but otherwise, don't do it, is my advice!

All the best to you, good luck with TTC.

Hi Beattiebow, really sad to hear about your losses. All I can tell you is that I an about to embark on a cycle of IVF and my consultant said I shoudln't take aspirin (needed in my case to try and help prevent pre-eclampsia) until after a positive pregnancy test, as aspirin can hinder implantation. However I have also heard of ladies with particular blood clotting issues who do have to take aspirin when ttc.

I wouldn't self medicate if I were you, if you have had more that 3 losses I would go and see your GP who should refer you for further testing.

Best of luck
