Hi, I have two beautiful boys and I am now planning my next pregnancy. I would really like to have a girl, although another boy would be loved just as much.
Has anyone tried any non-medical methods, such as, sex positions that have worked and they'd recommend please

"Boy" sperm swim faster, but die sooner; "girl" sperm swim slower but live longer. You can use this to your advantage.

So the theory is, if you ttc late in your fertile window (i.e. at the point of ovulation, or just after) then the "boy" sperm will win the race and get to the egg first.

Similarly, if you ttc early in your fertile window (i.e. BEFORE you ovulate) then the "boy" sperm will get to the destination too early and die off, but the slower "girl" sperm will be there in time to meet the egg.

DC3 was conceived barely a day after the end of my period i.e. before ovulation. Applying the rules above I was convinced that it would be a girl.....and it was!

Not guaranteed, of course, but a proven way of increasing your chances. Good luck trying!!!

This worked for us too - we weren't TTC but weren't using contraception as were hoping for a DC2 soon-ish (DH had exams in the following May we were hoping to avoid) but did the deed on day 10 (I have a fairly long cycle, so didn't think I'd conceive) and DD arrived 9 months later (DH still waiting to do his resits didn't get much peace to study last spring!)
