Hi,

Is it likely that I would be experiencing symptoms in week 3? You know what its like, you scour the internet for symptoms and you swear you have them!

This is the first time we have TTC. I have been taking my temperature each morning but it doesn't look anything like the examples in the book! Based on the egg white mucus, I ovulated last week and since then I have suffered extreme tiredness, light headiness, stomach cramping and some creamy discharge, with a tiny bit being pale brown.

Is it likely that I'm pregnant, or am I reading too much into these symptoms - I can really empathise with the waiting game now!

Sounds promising! When is your period due? You can take a test up to 6 days before that I think.

im in week 3 of my cycle too and have the same as you along with feeling sick and needing a wee all the time. ive had a baby and know the symptoms i just cant seem to remember what week i started with them.
but yea sounds to me like you could be, but id advise you to wait after your period is due because last time i got a 1st respnse test and it showed negative, the week after i did another and that was posative

Mmm, how exciting!

I don't actually know when my period is due. I came off the pill in May, and although 35 days sounds about right, 've never kept a record of my cycles. If I'm not pregnant, least I will start to get an idea of my cycle.

I have some 1st response tests, and I'm hoping I don't fall into the trap of wasting money by testing so early. The problem is that now we've decided we want a baby, we are quite impatient.

I also didn't realise that there was so much to take into consideration when TTC. Just goes to show how little we are informed about these things!!

yep ive bought so many in the past that were expesive. that now ive realised they all just about do the same job, so next time i will go to poundland and buy them, i used those when i found out i was pregnant and it gave me a very strong posative.
i get what you mean by gettin impatient.
im in 2 minds kind of impatient, but sometimes i think if i find out i am i dont know what i would do, my last birth was so bad its kind of terrified me.
ye i think we all just think its straightforward

Crikey, if you don't mind me asking why was it terrifying?

We have only very recently decided to have a family - I have always been very career minded. I have a phobia about being sick so dreading morning sickness, and I always turnover the TV if I seeing a baby being born as it looks awful with all the blood etc!
