bluesatinsash · 16/09/2010 20:48

Hi Vjay Smile. Have just puy on piccie - its HUGE - eek!

How are things with you? How's Cjay getting on at school? Is Ajay turning into a toddler before your eyes?!

VJay · 16/09/2010 20:55

That is one HUGE gorgeous pic of B Grin

I'm fine ta, Cjay is loving school thanks and yes Ajay is toddling all over the show, and he's now started to dance whenever he hears music, he bobs up and down and shakes his head it's so cute Grin

Hows things with you, is I still enjoying nursery? I'm sure he is, nursery is fab Smile

OP posts:
VJay · 16/09/2010 20:57

I've just seen that you're a leftie, me too!

OP posts:
bluesatinsash · 16/09/2010 21:02

Has Ajay heard Black Eyed Peas "Tonight's going to be a good good night"? That song gets them all going Grin.

Isaac loves nursery, its such a change from being 4 to being 3 don't you tthink? He's just so much more confident although still shy at times.

WE're all well thanks, DH is off on a stag weekend tomorrow so will be homeo aloneo but ear marking some girlie films and I may finally get my finger out and put stuff on e-bay.

Conversion is nearly finished. Inside is getting painted tomorrow (two shades of bronze) but outside brickwork has dragged on and on - blardy builders Angry

bluesatinsash · 16/09/2010 21:03

lefties rock!! MLS's DD is one too Smile

VJay · 16/09/2010 21:09

Lucky you, I was asking dh today when our conversion will be done, he thinks Spring Grin

It is amazing to see how much they grow in confidence as they get older, they go from these helpless bundles to confident little men in next to no time. Cjay is really getting quite independent now which is lovely to see but scary too.

I've just realised that I've been on mumsnet for 2 years now...I really need to do some housework Grin...but what a 2 years it's been!

OP posts:
bluesatinsash · 16/09/2010 21:26

LOL at housework Grin.

Off to bed, night honey xx

VJay · 16/09/2010 21:27

Night Smile

OP posts:
loueytbg · 16/09/2010 22:13

LOL at vjay and blue

I'm a leftie too and it looks as though Isaac is (although he currently keeps changing his mind Confused )

blue so glad your conversion is nearly done - will be fab to get some paint on it tomorrow. Can't wait to see pics. And isn't Ben just a cherub with his little teeth. He'll be cruising before you know it Smile

mls am Angry about the stupid tube woman accusing you of fare-dodging. As if you would even try that when 8.5 months pg. Glad you are feeling ok after that ordeal. Will have a think about sweepstake but when is your due date?? Oh and am pleased that Jamie Oliver (and particularly his wife who presumably can stop having any more babies now) have had a boy even if it is called a stupid name.

vjay at ajay dancing to music. So good that cjay is becoming all independent even though it must pull at your heart-strings. Does he get help at school?

mermaid lovely to see you - I imagine you've had quite a week. Hope the yoga was fun! What on earth is bosu??? Are you on an exercise mission at the moment??

barbie how on earth did Dolly go to sleep while swimming?? Clearly the water is warmer there than it is in most pools here. Mine screamed the place down when we first started. Hope the move to her own room goes ok, I'm sure you are looking forward to having your own space again and drowning out Dolly's cries a little Wink. She will get back to sleeping - its just a blip. Fab news on the weight loss but surely you're not 63lbs???

neeko so glad the christening went well. Would love to see pics when you get them. Not going to tell you off for eating cake - you've been so good - there has to be a balance.

cupcake am v sorry about your DH's job situation. Its crap at the moment - he is still in with a chance but I know the atmosphere at work is probably rubbish. One of my best friends is also going through it at the moment so I know how tough it is.

monkey am thinking of you and hoping your week improved a bit. How is your doggy coping with the chemo. LOL at mls for recommending acu for endo Grin

4ever hope your boobs are back to functioning normally Grin Thanks for the meet-up summary. Am still Sad that I couldn't make it.

jools glad you got to go to the meet in the end. Dare I ask how work is?

curly well done you for organising the meet up. How is curlygirl doing?

sabs wonderful Eid pic of Saara. Sorry I didn't get to meet you both either. Next time.

QA I think you asked a few days ago how you dealt with due dates. I don't have the answer except that I try and keep busy to keep my mind off things. I'm not sure whether that is the right thing to do or not. My due date is very soon (1st October) and is likely to coincide with AF arriving which will just add to my hormonal state. Am really not looking forward to it. I think DH's just deal with it in a different way and obviously have no idea what it is like to be pg. Every person that gives birth now reminds me that it could have been me. I am trying to focus on getting PG again but its very hard.

Am getting hassled by DH to come to bed. We are going to cornwall tomorrow to stay with the ILs for the weekend. Thought we had missed the boat this cycle with us being ill but have managed to get some sneeky action in today so we have a chance I think. mls you will be interested in the fact that my temps are almost flat this cycle whereas previously they were all over the place. May be the acu working??? Will certainly make it easy to see a temp shift this time round.

Right must go. Love to you all

littlebellsmum · 16/09/2010 23:17

Evening all

Well, it was a pleasant surprise at the meet up - we were all real people and there wasn't one axe murderer or man in dodgy raincoat to be seen! Seriously, it was really lovely to meet everyone and the lovely miracle babes. Your big girl was so lovely, MLS

MLS I don't know about barrier lady but Angry barrier, trying to squash your miracle baby

Curly good to hear the buggy is good, this week I will start getting rid of some of our spare buggies!

Mermaid hope the weather held for you today

Barbie I've sent you Mermaids email

CupCake sorry to hear about dh's job - focus on Jude as whatever will be , will be.

louey glad you are all better and hope you're in with a chance this month Wink
due dates are a bit of a bugger really - last year was really sad, but a number of us have fallen pregnant just after due dates, of which I was one and so this year, I have to say, I didn't notice it as I was too busy. Feel pretty bad about it actually - but if my LLO had arrived, I wouldn't have had Jo and she's just lovely!

Need to go - sorry for all the missed personals, esp to Blue and Vjay who are so good at rgular updating. Maybe when I go back to work next month, I'll get more time to post!!

littlebellsmum · 16/09/2010 23:20

Oh forgot to add - I have just rejoined slimming world and so will join in with our mini losers support group.

Re MLS sweepstake, I'd love to say my brithday on Oct 18th but that would be cruel to let MLS go so far over.

So, I'm going to go for Oct 11th ( much loved uncles birthday) and will have to say a boy (need to have a boy in the south) of 8lbs

Neeko · 17/09/2010 07:57

MLS sweepstake!

Curly - 25/9, GIRL, 6lbs 7oz
Neeko - 29/9, GIRL, 7lbs 8oz
Blue - 1/10 GIRL, 6lbs 6oz
Neeko's mum - 1/10 BOY, 7lbs 5oz Well she has met her and feels that's reason enough for a guess! Grin
Cupcake - 10/10, BOY, 7lbs 10oz
LBM - 11/10, BOY, 8lbs
Vjay - 17/10, BOY 7lbs 6oz

Was planning on a big post but H just woke up Hmm

So short and sweet I gained half a pound this week and Vjay gained 1. They were delicious! Grin

Back later.

VJay · 17/09/2010 11:21

Lol neeko I enjoyed my whole pound this week, but the rellies have gone home now so back on the wagon we go Grin

louey Cjay does get help at school, he goes up to the base in the mornings for help with his reading and language work, the SALT also visits him there, I think twice a month. He also has some help in the afternoons in the mainstream classroom if he needs it. He has someone watching over him at break and lunch times. Got to say the school is great Smile

monkey how are you doing?

I'm tired today Ajay was up a lot last night tugging at his ears and crying, I think he's going to be a sufferer of ear ache, bless him.

OP posts:
bluesatinsash · 17/09/2010 14:44

Having a wee chuckle to myself as we have the painters in at home and my AF arrived today Wink.

Vjay - how's Ajay's ears? Wee soul xx

louey - I loved the Oliver family photos that were doing the rounds yesterday. I have a soft spot for them too Blush. Fingers crossed the acup is calming your cycle down and rebooting..

neeko - its compulsory to put on weight after a christening Grin. Get your photo on now!!

MLS - how's the bump today? Hope no bruises appeared? My friend fell flat on her face at 8.5 months, bump took full force of fall Sad but all ok

I'm at home btw, took the afternoon off to oversee my painters as they're quite dishy Blush but actually because I was a ball of stress this morning due to forgotten teddies and sleep over arangements unravelling - anyway sorted now.

Off to giggle with the boys downstairs whuilst Ben sleeps

cupcakefairy · 17/09/2010 17:21

Hi chatty girls!
Thanks so so much for all your lovely words re dh's job. Neeko yeah I totally fell apart last year cos it was just one thing after another- the mc then leaving my job cos of a load of crap that happened there then dh losing his job just as I got my bfp so the hormones were sending me crazy...feel much stronger this time round thankfully!!

LBM thank you- I totally am focusing on Jude and just looking at him makes me smile, even when he's kept me up all night!! I also often think that if my LLO had been born we never would have had Jude...small silver lining.

LOL blue at your flirt-day with the builders Grin love it.

barbie I feel your pain- babycake's sleep is all over the place at the moment Confused 2 nights ago he cried from 1.30am-4am Shock and nothing I did could help! Last night a bit better though. Getting v worried about going to France now and just hope he improves a bit before then.
I have to walk around really fast with him in the Close sling to get him to nap too...goodness knows what I'll do when he's grown out of it!!

mermaid thanks for your bf wisdom too. That's another of my reasons for wanting to stop before a year- we have zero allergy issues in both our families... I understand it's really good to carry on if you do. And yes, the watching crap on tele thing is great Grin the number of times I've seen that Olly Murs video on the music channels though...!!!

Right gotta dash ladies; we are off to the ILs this weekend so packing to do! We need a removal van these days for the amount of stuff we take Hmm Please someone text me if MLS goes into labour!! Grin

Cheerio.

SabsFabulous · 17/09/2010 22:53

Evening ladies, I havent had a chance to do a big update for ages, so here goes.

Our meet-up this week was lovely. It was so nice to meet curly and curlygirl again who has grown so much since we last met and we've discovered that her and Saara share many characteristics. Thanks again for organising it all and for the books. Saara loves Boris and squeals in delight when I tell her to kiss him Grin

mls Sadie was lovely and got on well with Saara. And I agree with the others, your bump looked so neat and I had to stop myself from giving it a rub Grin

4ever and lbm it was lovely to meet you and your DD's, sorry I didnt get a chance to hold them, Saara was being a bit of a demanding madam who requires a lot of attention atm and hates having to sit in one place and not be free to crawl around.

jools I was so glad you could make it, it must have been so hard for you and my heart went out to you. Glad to have lent you Saara for the photos Smile.

Cant wait for the next meet=up in December Smile

cupcake sorry to hear about your DH's job situation. I know how stressful it can be. DH was made redundant last year and the year before that. Not sure if you remember, but he had a lot of temp roles and the month before Saara was born he was not working at all, and then the day Saara was born he was offered 2 jobs. Really hoping it works out for you all. Hope you have a good weekend at the IL's.

blue your post today about the builders made me Grin. Have you decided what you're going to do for the rest of the weekend? Loving the new photo of B BTW Smile

vjay at Ajay dancing away! Saara dances to the tune of some of her toys. She sits on her knees and then just raises her hands up and down Grin

neeko Glad the christening went well. Looking forward to seeing the photos.

lbm you dont happen to be selling a quinny zapp as one of your pushchairs are you?

louey sorry you couldnt make it to the meet-up. Maybe we'll meet at the December meet-up? Hope you're all feeling better now and have a great time in Cornwall.

mermaid I feel so Blush because I forgot to text you this week but I hope it all went well. You were in my thoughts all week. How was yoga?

barbie good to have you back in the greenhouse. How did D's first night in her own room go? I can never leave the babywipes near Saara as she loves taking them all out. When we went to my aunts on Eid she took all the tissues out of the tissue box but a they didnt have any toys for her to play with, they just let her carry on!

mls Angry at the ticket lady. It must have been such a worry but good to hear lo's moving around. I remember delivering training in Central London when around 6 months pregnant and this woman who worked at the venue ran straight into me. I dont know how she could have missed me, I was huge! She was really apologetic but I remember getting really worried until I felt Saara moving.

curly what new pram did you get?

monkey so sorry to hear about your dog. Sending you lots of hugs

Waves to iggy QA moon pfj and our other lurkers

Thanks to everyone for your Eid wishes and your comments on Saara's photo. We all had a lovely day and Saara got so many presents. I'm going to have to start boxing some of her older toys up and sneak them into my parents loft before they get back home on Monday Grin

We finally booked our holiday. We're off to Tunisia on Thursday and will be back the day afer Saara's 1st birthday. Have started holiday shopping and am worried I wont have all the right things for Saara. Any tips on travelling with a baby gratefully received! Also trying to mentally prepare myself for going back to work and having to leave Saara [sob!]

Night all. Have a good weekend

SabsFabulous · 17/09/2010 22:56

Blue - 1/10 GIRL, 6lbs 6oz
Neeko's mum - 1/10 BOY, 7lbs 5oz Well she has met her and feels that's reason enough for a guess!
Cupcake - 10/10, BOY, 7lbs 10oz
LBM - 11/10, BOY, 8lbs
Vjay - 17/10, BOY 7lbs 6oz

barbie1 · 18/09/2010 07:50

Hi ladies..I've been busy the last few days so havent got around to posting

Thanks to the girls who forwarded me the email from mermaid Smile

mermaid what a lovely, beautiful thing to do...even though i didnt know exactly what was going on i was still thinking about you.

Another person im thinking about is monkey...I really hope your dog is ok, fingers crossed. Are you feeling any better? What a shiteous journey you have been on of late, i really hope it ends soon and you find the path to happiness (god that sounds corny but you know what i mean! Smile)

Also moon (what is it with all the M names having a bad time at the mo? Hmm) did you book the wedding, can we get excited??? hope you are coping..you time will come...

jools reading the other girls post im guessing you had a few moments at the meet up? i just want to give you a great big hug! I hope it didnt put you off meeting the girls again cos next time i wanna come (you can hold Dolly as much as you want, ill be glad of the break Wink) Hope you are ok, and that you get some sleep/ wine

blue you naughty girl, flirting with the builders Grin
Glad B is feeling better

louey i know! Only Dolly could fall asleep in the water Shock Hmm I was right after splashing water in her face too. I was cute though, she still had her sunnies on and was all floppy!
The water felt freezing because it was so hot out side 40 degrees, the water is 29 degrees, beautiful outdoor pool so even i got some sun, it was bliss!
And yes i was 63lb but now 62! Grin Im normally around the 9 stone mark, just a tiny bit under on a good day, plus 3lb on a bad day. Im 9 stone 8 now and want to be 9 stone...i have 3 months to do it, the wii is fab fingers crossed it can be done! Enjoy Cornwall, i love it there Envy

sabs i sure Dolly is about as active as Saara, flying can be stressful, im not going to lie. The trick is to stay as calm as poss, take plenty of snacks, drinks etc and her fav toys. Has she got her own seat? Dolly had her won and sat there playing with the tv remote and headphones. Saara might sit and watch the tv for a while? To be honest she has to be on your lap for take off and land so that about an hour of the flight anyway! We just took turns walking up and down the alise and going into the galley, where we kept being giving loads of freebies for us her! Grin

Nearly out of time, ill try to get on next nap time....love to all x

VJay · 18/09/2010 10:34

Had a giggle at blue having the 'decorators' in GrinGrin

sabs have a lovely holiday and I will wish Saara a Happy Birthday now incase I miss you later. As for travelling, I haven't done any plane journeys but have down a few long car journeys. Like barbie says, I took toys and snacks, but at least we can pull over in the car if need be, bit hard to do on a plane HmmGrin, so no point me mentioning it really!

barbie do you mean 63 kilos? because 63lbs is just 4 1/2 stone Grin you twig you Grin

I have gone through all my good food mags today and pulled out all the kids sections, and I've made ds1 a receipe book, he's so excited, he has chosen to make some carrot cakes, so that's our afternoon planned Smile

OP posts:
barbie1 · 18/09/2010 10:56

ha ha ha ha twig Grin

duh..yep 63 kg's!

barbie1 · 19/09/2010 11:11

Where is everyone??? Or am i such a twig that you are all somewhere else Grin

Im stressing...last night was the first night of cc during the night. I sat for 2 hours and 15 mins in the dark nursery, putting her back down every 10 mins, then 20 mins then half hourly.....

2 fecking hours Shock!!!

What am i doing wrong??????? vjay louey any advice?

Apart from that im ok, day time naps are ok, she had a 2 and a half hour one yesterday! Feet up and relaxed...bliss

mls im with you on the sleeping pains, you too iggy

Hope you have a good weekend, i hear its getting very cold at home now??

VJay · 19/09/2010 11:24

Hi barbie I'm here, I'm trying to do some online shopping, got some birthdays coming up. Cjay is on the wii, and Ajay is asleep.

Dolly could just be out of her routine from your trip home, both mine get thrown when we've been away. Just keep on doing what you're doing, hopefully tonight will be much better, it did work before didn't it?

OP posts:
bluesatinsash · 19/09/2010 20:23

barbie -keep at it!! By third night you should be down to half an hour.. Persistence pays and D will thank you for it when she realises that sleeping makes her feel better in the morning! Well done for first tnight, over 2 hours to you gal..

Sabs - glad Saara enoyoed her first Eid Smile. Have a fabulous holiday too. We took DS1 when he was Saara's age (had the in-laws for extra pairs of hands on plane). We went to Cyprus which is 5 hours Confused. You could see the passengers hearts sink when they saw us coming up the aisle and knew they were behind/infront of the 'vbaby' but he was good as gold. We just took him for walks up and down the aisle, had lots of books and toys and he did sleep for a good 2 hours of the journey - good luck!

Vjay - what a great idea re: cookery book. You always have great things up your sleeve for your boys How did the cc turn out (carrot cake not controlled crying Grin)?

Hey to everyone else, just a quick lurk before Sunday night couch time xx

Neeko · 20/09/2010 09:22

Hello ladies

I've finally put a christening pic of H up but still don't have any of the 4 of us digitally.

M is staying at her gran's and H is sleeping because it's daylight so fingers crossed for a catch up.

*Barbie8 sounds like you're doing so well. I've tried CC and i just can't do it. H is running rings around us at the moment with a several hour 'up' every night. I'm pretty sure that it's linked to the BF/solid refusal but seem unable to break the cycle.

Mermaid Glad it all went as well as could be expected. I hope the whole thing brings you some peace.

Sabs I'm sure Saara will be fine. The novelty factor should help and you never need to see the people on the flight again Wink

Blue Your decorators comment made me smile too. Hope the room is looking great. I can't wait for pics.

Vjay How's the budding chef? Have you been arm wrestled into making that chocolate cake yet? Hope your DH has a great birthday.

MLS Any twinges yet?

Louey Hope you're having a good time away. Sounds like the accu is really helping if your temps are flatter. Fingers crossed for a big thermal shift that stays high, high, high.

LBM How's the stopping bf going? well done for joining slimming world.

Cupcake did you make a final decision?

Hi to everyone else.
