Hi Moof. I didn't conceive on my WTF. I did have a period in between ERPC and BFP. However, I did start trying again immediately as I know people who have conceived on their WTF and have quite a few medical friends who all said the only real reason for waiting is the dating issue and if you don't feel up to it emotionally.

In a way I was actually quite relieved that I did have my WTF as it meant that I knew everything was working and that if there was anything left in there, it got emptied out (TMI) Blush. And also that any positive I then got was a definite positive.

Dachs really good to hear that you are feeling more positive - well done.

Hello all you lovely ladies. Well after much boob prodding and studying the blue vein,I tested.

BFPGrin Grin Grin

Am now of course terrified, as I initially POAS on Wednesday and got a really faint bfp then, but then this morning I used a cheap internet one and it was so faint, it really was just a shadow( suspected chemical pregnancy). So I went to superdrug and got one of theirs, and a nice stronger line came up:)

I can eventually do my own sticky bean jig.-God I hope this one sticks!!xxx

p.s viv- what are your temps like? according to mine I am about to self combust! I am hot hot hot ....

owlshoes · 20/08/2010 10:27

WOO! Battery that is ace Grin , so pleased for you after all that epic effort you went to this month! It was all worth it :)

Congrats also to Mrs Ivy on the wedding :)

Bloody hell you lot can talk, I shall now have to go back and read it all so I can catch up.

PenguinsMummy · 20/08/2010 10:49

Battery That's fantastic news - woo hoo!! Many congratulations. Grin

VivClicquot · 20/08/2010 10:52

Woooooooo! Fab news, honey. I'm particularly pleased given your anglo-germanic efforts :)

Temps-wise, I had a dip at 7 dpo, then it was back up yesterday and today, but not astronomically so. All yesterday afternoon and evening I was having niggly sharp twinges really low on the left hand side, but I have to admit that's pretty much the extent of my symptoms at this stage. Oh, and then there was the minor emotional breakdown I has last night, of course.

And ivy, I forgot to say congratulations yesterday during my 'woe is me' phase, so huge love and congrats x

DachshundsRule · 20/08/2010 10:55

Yay battery

unfortunately no amount of breast prodding is maing them sore, so given that it was my only symptom last time I suspect that all the SWI this month was to no avail. :(

Have re-done the list for you, hope you don't mind :)

Hello Luvverlies Smile

How are you all?
Sorry I've not been around much, there doesn't seem to be enough days in the week at the moment.

I'm off today and made myself a promise I'd catch up on here so are you sitting comfortably and we shall begin. Grin

Jollster me old mucka how you doing?
Hope your combination of ibuprofen, Oyster Bay and lager is hitting the spot.
Not long till the move now eh.

Moo as there is very little room on your left shoulder for my fat arse Viv and her Pom poms I have shoved that poncy do gooding know it all offa your right and will be stroking your hair and whispering "do it, do it" too.

Viv honey. I still love you lots like Jelly Tots and rah-boo to those insensitive twatbags.
We will be winning our baybees soon and they will be prettier and sleep better.
We will end up being 37 weeks updiffed when TT tour so with all the excitement we will be forced to give birth in JasonsGrin/GarysHmm/MarksHmm/Robbies Grin dressing rooms and they'll loan us their T-shirts and robes which we will steal and keep for ever and ever.
You wait, I betcha! GrinGrin

Cheepz Yay for exchange, boo for early RTD and water leakages.

8's how is your double bubble?
Still barfing and collapsing in an exhausted heap?
Good,good. Grin

Penguinsmummy Congrats on your BFP! Smile

Ivy Congratulations too Sweets! Glad all went well for you on your big day.

LadyBee Big squeeeezzes and enjoy the cocktails and DH party tonight.
Although if you're anything like me I'd steer away from Gin based ones Blush
Gin does not make for a happy PV.

Dachs Blimey! You're in for a run of good luck now me thinks!
Karma and all.

Glad you're feeling more positive, pester the buggers till you get some proper answers.

TTL
So sorry to see you here,Tis nice place though and you can't gatecrash and run.
We have you now my pretty.

Stay for a while and join the madness.
It's da rools.
I've not been on t'other fred much as I haven't been doing much JS , more obsessive calculations and teary emotional blackmail persuasion, so I felt like a bit of a fraud.
You can join Viv and I on the
~We are going to spend a fortune on TT tickets and not be able to go as we are about to drop tour~ if you want Grin

Hello to Choccy Izzy and Reallygrumpy too.

For all of us you in the TWW
I took Mr.G to see Spamalot for his B'day.
I found this on youtube and thought I'd share.
It was the best one I could find and it's even funnier with the Simms.

I am not making up my own symptoms.
I am not eyeing the lonely piss stick that just managed to get away last month.

Seriously though, apart from the usual boobs and cramps, I have been getting this weird sour taste not only in my mouth but it was like I could smell it too.
Like it was in my sinuses.
Just for a few seconds then it goes away.
I thought it was in the air but it keeps happening inside and outside every now and again. ???
I'm getting rather paranoid and thinking why is this bizzare whiff is following me around.
I'm clean and tide 'onest!
And with all the prompting of boob checking I just had a gander and I have a rather attractive hair growing outa my left buzzwam.
Shirley that means I'm either preggers or I'm morphing into a smelly, hairy trucker.

whoop whoop for battery that's fab news. I'm so happy for you. I'll do a little sticky dance too!

eek, that mean's I'm almost at the top of the list - some haddock slapping please, at least until Monday! I can feel a trip to superdrug coming on

Congrats too Ivy glad it all went well in the end

Dachshunds Sorry to hear about the rollercoaster you've been going through.

Jolls good luck with the move, but I hope you manage to get some rest over the weekend, look after yourself.

Tigger big hug for you, I'm sorry I'm not sure if there's anything I can say but we're always here to support you and everyone.

Big waves to everyone else, sorry i can't do a proper catch-up this time and I fear I won't be able to because this thread moves so fast Smile
Have a good weekend.

MamaPower · 20/08/2010 11:51

Congrat's Battery, this has made my day as I also have the two country issue at the moment...trying to be in the same place at the right time is a nightmare! So a hard earnt and deserved BFP for you! Whoop! x

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 20/08/2010 12:30

Yay battery - huge congratulations, that's fab news!

And a belated congrats to penguinsmummy on also getting upduffed and ivy on getting married (I really must try to keep up!)

Dachs - I'm glad you're feeling more positive, as you say, if it happened once there's no reason why it shouldn't happen again.

Jolls - all the best with the house move, hope it's going OK.

'Tis cheering to see some good news on here - I've been feeling a bit desolate over the last couple of days. Like most of you, I'm surrounded by shiny new FB babies and moaning FB PG women, and also by real life bumps and newborns everywhere I go with DCs at the minute, and I just can't stop wondering why, oh why, I'm stuck back at the beginning TTC when I should be 5 months now and getting huge and planning excitedly for my Christmas baby Sad. BUT every BFP on here makes things look a little but more hopeful Smile.

I think the helplessness is one of the most frustrating things about this - am fully intending to engage DH in some SWI tonight despite being only on CD8 and "low" on the CBFM, just so I can feel like I'm doing something positive!

Anyway, sorry for self-pity and mememe.

to those who need it, to everyone else.

Oh and PV, I think those symptoms sound good, will be keeping my fingers crossed for you and everyone else coming up to POAS time.

batteryhen · 20/08/2010 12:37

Thank you everyone for being so lovely :)

viv the dip at 7dpo sounds hopeful to me :) I hope you start burning up lady (in a strictly non flammable way!)

daschother than the veiny boob, I have no symptoms - last time my boobs were awfully painful but nothing this time - so you may be in luck yet :)

mama - when your other half lives in a different country it is difficult - but I have tried to time my ovulation, and booked flights to see dp depending on those dates. Thank god I don't ovulate mid week !

cheepz sorry about rtd but good news on the house move - fx for next time for you xx

pretty I love your posts - nothing from you in ages then a lovely post like that to keep us all entertained and smiling!

freezing am glad to drop off the top of the list as frankly I couldn't stand the pressure! Will fx for you next week too x

owlsthanks for the congrats :)- I did go to a lot of effort - especially swigging that awful cough medicine!!

penguins-congrats to you too and ivy congrats on being a married laydeeee

Right I need to shift -I am once again flying off to germany - am going to take my pg test to show dp when I get there ( he too was anxious about the faint line! )

Have a lovely weekend all xx

Hopefully · 20/08/2010 13:08

Yay Battery how very very exciting. Little sticky bean dance just for you. I got no symptoms this time when i got BFP, even though I had symptoms on about CD24 with DS and MC pregnancies.

Viv, my cycle buddy, I hope the temp dip/rise is the beginning of good things Smile

LOL at all those indiscriminate uteruses (uteri? uterum?) out there. Hopefully mine has been very fussy and therefore I'll stay PG Grin

I have to clean the house this afternoon for random belgian friend of DP's (apparently I have met him. No memory of this) who is staying tonight. Urghhhh I'm too knackered. It's so annoying that the stage of pregnancy where you feel the worst is the stage where you don't want to tell anyone.

VivClicquot · 20/08/2010 13:17

Oh man. That would be amazing. Obviously as Gary now has three children, he would be an expert at delivering babies and stuff, so could pass me some warm towels and give DH some advice on where to strategically stand.

ps. that funny taste thing makes me think you're upduffed. Jus' sayin'. Wink

lucysnowe · 20/08/2010 13:50

Hi all

Congrats battery, yayness! and hi to all new people.

So sorry to hear your news jollster, that utterly sucks. Hope you are feeling okay today.

viv I am curious regarding your temps, is the dip meant to indicate pg or are you just saying it's an anomaly? (yes, I am a bit obsessed with temps, how did you guess?)The only chart indication of pg I know about is the triphasic phase as seen here:

tinyurl.com/2w7ae7u

but it only means pg slightly more than a non-triphasic phase.

I never did work out temping last time I TTC, is there a site that explains it all in suitably basic terms?

Fx for you anyway viv

re the cough medicine: what sort of dosage are you supposed to take and for which cycle days? (not that I would be considering it, oh no, of course not, just curious!)

cheepz - sorry RTD got you this time, fx for next

lucysnowe - fx for you to OV soon!

Velvetcu · 20/08/2010 14:24

Woohoo congrats battery

YRMOTB before the mmc, I used to get loads of EWCM on one day and one day only. I had it 4 days ago, then I had it again yesterday. That's why I was wondering about oving twice seeing as this is my first proper cycle since ERPC (since getting PG in March actually. Strange to think AF has only been once since then)

I guess I'm on the 2ww now too (although cycles have been known to be 40 days on occasion). Last time, I didnt twig I might be PG til AF was 3 weeks late so I have no idea what very early symptoms are or how quickly they can be spotted. STOP ME NOW!!!!

Have had a stomach bug for the past 3 days tho so didnt SWI as much as I would have liked, although it was still every other day.

Here's hoping to see more BFPs soon :)

PenguinsMummy · 20/08/2010 14:27

Friend at work just shoued me her 12 week scan pics - really delighted for her as she has been TTC for years. Still didn't stop me from going to the toilets for a quite sob. Sorry - stupid I know and I need to be positive so hopefully that will be me in 8 weeks time Smile

VivClicquot · 20/08/2010 14:31

lucy - I'm the same as you in that I think the dip could well be an anomaly, or it could be the sign of something interesting - I just don't know! This is only my second cycle temping though, so I don't know if this is usual / unusual for me, IYSWIM.

digitalgirl · 20/08/2010 15:08

batteryhen congratulations! Am very impressed that you've managed it with only weekend swi-ing!

Am officially into the second half of the 2ww. This time next week I'll see if my temp dips or not. Temp did a reassuring climb today, but did that last week so not reading too much into it.

PrettyVacant1 · 20/08/2010 15:15

Hmm not so much of a metal taste Pengiun
more a sour explosion in my head.
I'm odd. Grin
Aaaaarrrggghh about the scan, nice that your friend has eventually got there but it should be an unwritten law not to flash scan pics about unless asked.
Sorry it upset you, it will be you very soon.

Viv hello bud Smile just re read my last post and I'd missed a comma making it look like I called you a fat arse.
Tis not the case!

Not Python fans then? No?

I'm wasted here.
Well I think I'm funny and that's all that matters!
