At least I know my cervix is not misbehaving then.

Hairy I concur with Viv. My first cycle on the CBFM gave me about 6 highs then 2 peaks. Subsequent cycles were 4 highs. Action stations for you!

Saffron have you been gotten by RTD? Welcome to newbies, sure this wee thread will help your sanity in the forthcoming weeks.

Pass that amazing cake Viv! DH is out tonight so I'm away to crack open a bottle of sauv blanc and get my telly prgrammes on

saffronbun · 06/08/2010 20:21

I have indeed, Moof, damnit, is utter shite although I am now making the most of my ability to drink raspberry beer for the next 7 days or so.

Enjoy that sauv blanc & crap TV, isn't it ace when you have the place to yourself for once?

Moofold · 06/08/2010 20:33

Ocht, pish! Console yourslef with lots and lots of rasperberry beer then ;)

youremindmeofthebabe · 06/08/2010 20:43

Ooh, i love raspberry beer. And fruhli. Nom Nom. Enjoy your wine, moof, am 2 glasses in to my bottle already Blush

Cheepz · 06/08/2010 20:51

mrspretty you guts - if you ate all my icing Im not going to speak to you for at least 5 minutes Grin

thanks for all birthday wishes - have been away for 3 days because work is mental so have had to read yarns to catchup and there is no waaaay i can comment on everything so if i only comment on a few things its not because I dont care Wink

dorcas ya ya ya good news is always welcome here

boo thanks for swining by - I know you track us over here from over there and love you for it all the more

newbies so sorry you have to be here, but here is about the best place to be when you are where you are

hairy get jiggy with it - RIGHT NOW

harriet your MIL sounds like a total cow and I think you should tell her to mind her own, good that you are getting some info even if its not fab news its better to know what you are dealing with

moof after my erpc it was all abit wierd downstairs for all the wtf cycle and cervix was def open and low for a long time - well weeks at least

right so i am cd 13, forgot sticks this month but ewcm and pains are starting so ov round cd15 as normal is likely - so tomorrow (being saturday night) would be a good shagging night, but i am freaked out about ttc again - partly because its been a while iykwim - when were nmot trying it can be abit of a dry spell Blush but also because i am so excited about new job and loving it and loving my life right now, and i am finally losing weight with all the adrenalin and i am thinking if i got pregnant would i want to be because it would be damned inconvenient - why am i such a nutter - this has all i have been trying to do for a year, and 3mc later i feel like i should be really wanting to just be pregnant again, i think i need a second wind - i am in the ttc doldrums

then i think i am 38 today - so really egg quality is only going to go downhill and i should get cracking before its too late

sigh - sorry for self indulgent rant about whether or not to ttc but theres noone else who would understand

given my coffee intake this week any egg is going to be shooting out of my ovary like a rocket so maybe i should just suck it and see - well not literally suck it because thats not going to get me in da club Grin

hairytriangle · 06/08/2010 21:09

Cheepz lovely (slightly caffeine induced?) post :)

getawiggleon · 06/08/2010 21:26

Thanks for all the warm welcomes. Jollster, without wishing to freak you out any more my name originally came after reading a friend's fb status update!

Mussels in white wine plus glass of rose on the menu tonight, just because I can. Might aswell look on bright side...

Hopefully · 06/08/2010 21:44

Hairy happy SWI Grin

Cheepz I can imagine how you're feeling, and it's a perfectly reasonable thing to be feeling after MCs and putting TTC on hold - after all, it's not like TTC has been the happiest of things for you, so when life is great elsewhere it's got to be tempting to have another month or two off. No real super ideas, but am sure you'll get back in the swing of it pretty quickly.

Am still feeling like I've stood up too quickly most of the time. DP suggested anaemia. Have never been anaemic in my life, even after mahoosive PPH with DS (Cheepz, if you ever want putting off the idea of TTC, allow me to share my birth story Grin), so have no idea if I might be. Doc's next week methinks.

Honeywitch · 06/08/2010 21:57

Stopped spotting. Still preg on clear blue not pn cheapies? Fingers crossed....

MamaPower · 06/08/2010 22:29

Thank you for welcoming me into the club...not the one we'd all like to be in but hopefully we'll be in the other soon Wink! On the upside just had dinner with g/f and a few glasses of wine, hic! Might as well take advatage while I can!!
I read a few more of the posts earlier and it reduced me to tears, I was so touched by the responses of empathy and concern and encouragement and support, thank goodness for the kindeness of strangers Smile x

Harriet75C · 07/08/2010 08:06

Looks like quite a few of us were on the wine last night! I'd forgotten what it was like to have a hangover. glugs forbidden caffeine related fizzy drink in the hopes that hangover will subside

Maybe there was a plus side to giving up the vino!

DH spoke to MIL yesterday. Him: 'You really upset Harry'. Her: 'How?' Him: 'By saying a conservatory was more important than us having a baby'. Her: 'I didn't mean it like that, I'm really sorry to have upset her'.

This, for her, is amazing. Not only the use of the word 'sorry', which is unheard of, but the fact that she (apparently) sounded really unhappy that she'd upset me. Usually when anyone says anything to her she just goes into an immediate sulk.

Although I think if things work out we'll wait to tell her until we're 12 weeks so the first trimester is as unstressful as possible! (Assuming we ever get pg again...)

Oh well, I'd better bugger off and clean the kitchen before the groceries arrive...

batteryhen · 07/08/2010 08:40

Guten tag from over here in Germany :) hello to all new people

Just a quick post - got a smiley face on OPK today so lets hope I am in the right place at the right time this month!!

Just wanted to say to hairy (if you can tear yourself away from your DP!!) I saw a post from empty on another thread - BFP for her which is fab news!

Will name check next week when I am home - better be off as DP is making me breakfast, yummy xxx

Cheepz · 07/08/2010 08:52

morning

here's to everyone having a lovely day.

i have DS all day so we are swimming and have playdate this afternoon with friend who is due 2 weeks before me - but i don't mind at all

iam beginning to wonder if i am on the worng thread .. or maybe just been here too long!

harriet good for your dh!! and lets hope your MIL develops some tact in future

honey everything crossed for you melove, you can have all my sticky vibes for this month since I am so all over the shop - you can lend some back in a month or so x

mama wine helps, so does coffee, blue cheese, all kinds of seafood and pate!

hairytriangle · 07/08/2010 09:05

Morning! Actually haven't started swi yet ... Weare conserving energy for prob wed/Thursday as that's when I think I'll actually pop an egg!

Harriet75C · 07/08/2010 09:26

Feeling smug at having cleaned kitchen when it's not even 9.30! (Of course if I were any good the kitchen wouldn't still need cleaning anyway, we would have done it last night after dinner but I'm going to take the Brownie points anyway 'cos I hate cleaning the kitchen)

Usually i'd be sitting watching crap morning tv while dh made me lots of cups of tea and waited on me hand and foot. But he's had to go into the office today 'cos he's v busy at the moment :(

Now just wish the shopping would arrive so i can start monitoring ovulation. I was a closet CBD checker - checked every day from the day I found out I was pg to the day I mc - sometimes twice! Shock I miss my little stick friends... Blush

saffronbun · 07/08/2010 12:08

Morning all!

Hope you had a top birthday Cheepz :)

Hoorah for repentant MIL, Harriet

I've started the day with a massive mug of extra strong coffee (ah, forbidden treats) and fully intend to source some pate before the weekend is out - it's like being on some weird sort of binge-diet where you eat absolute crap for a week then lay off the caffeine, wine, lard etc for the rest of the cycle.

Mamapower it definitely does help being able to come in here, esp. when you see people who have been through the same thing getting BFPs :)

Battery good luck in Germany!

MamaPower · 07/08/2010 12:31

Did something stupid this morning! My oldest friend had her baby last week and had to go and get a pressie...should have ordered online cause I ended up bursting into tears in mama's and papa's! Never mind, I did what anyone would do in this situation and went right next door to H&M and bought a few goodies to cheer me up Grin!! lol!
Thanks Saffron. And cheepz...can't argue you with you there, the wine went down very well, and making the most of caffine hits and all the delicious foods that will hopefully soon be a no go zone Wink.
Hope you all have a lovely day x

Cheepz I missed your birthday yesterday, sorry chicken, happy belated birthday to you. You're not wierd for freaking out abotu TTC, it's normal, especially as you're enjoying things as they are, and you're also not alone in having dry spells when you're not TTC Blush(I'm still chuckling about you sucking it Grin)

moof we were (sort of) waiting or more like trying to avoid the key times but after that news yesterday I reckon we're gonna crack on with it again this month, to be honest it's been nice having a break and not thinking about it.

sorry to not name check, I've been tasked with finding a ski holiday for Christmas and it's bloody hard work when there are budgets to contend with, why can't I have a bottomless pot of cash!?

have a good weekend all

Harriet75C · 07/08/2010 15:41

Have gone from feeling really positive about the future to thinking it will never happen and that the pg i had an mc with was my only chance of a baby and am now feeling really miserable.

Anyone got any nice cake or chocolate to share to cheer me up?

barrenbrook · 07/08/2010 15:57
PinkFondantFancy · 07/08/2010 16:02

Hi all on my phone so just a quickie, will check in properly soon but just wanted to send a hug to harriet- I know exactly what you mean about feeling negative but I find my mood comes and goes and fingers crossed soon you'll start feeling positive more than negative. It's a bit hippy dippy but I've started having reflexology every few weeks-it really helps me stay calm and makes me feel like i'm doing something positive. In the meantime binging on dairy milk seems to help :)

Harriet75C · 07/08/2010 16:41

thanks for the cake bb :)

and thanks for the hug pinkff :)

have stopped wallowing and started making dinner. home made curry tonight. nom nom

should get me a gold star from DH as well, 'cos he likes lamb and I like chicken so I'm doing two separate curries!

although my hands are now stained yellow from the turmeric and we're meant to be going out to a posh place for lunch tomorrow so I hope it wears off overnight...

will give DH instructions to come home bearing chocolate bars in case need to wallow sets in again...

hairytriangle · 07/08/2010 19:29

Just wanted to say to harriet it's completely natural to feel like that sometimes.(passes more chocolate). It will pass

anyone know how soon before ovulation ewcm happens?

randomimposter · 07/08/2010 19:38

hairy there are many more expert in all types of CM so will let someone more knowledgable answer (but usually I think it shows it's imminent in the next day or so).... BUT meant to comment on your post this morning (think I started but DS interrupted)... if you think it's likely you'll ov Weds/Thurs, getting some in the bag (as it were) Sun and Tues would not be a bad idea...

warm thoughts to all feeling a bit pants, glad to see you are a bit jollier H75C, amazing what food can do for the mood Grin.

special wave to BBrook

hairytriangle · 07/08/2010 20:45

Cheers Jolls

TMI alert:

We have SWI just in case, and will do so tomorrow, Monday and Tuesday (energy and will permitting).

If last month is anything to go by then Weds is the day but I have definately had a 'mucus cascade' today.

:)
