Hi, I am a complete newbie to this website and I was hoping you could give me any advice you can! I have been trying for a baby for a while now and today took the plunge and bought a CB fertility monitor. If you can offer any advice or tips on how this can help and how to use it that would be great. Thanks.

Hello

I had one of those too, but got pregnant without it... BUT - only because I was travelling so much, that my time zones were off, so I laid off it a few months.

HOWEVER, I have about 4 friends who swore by it... which is why I bought one in the first place.

Suggestions I can make include try not to stress too much if nothing happens in the first few months - it almost needs to "warm up" and get used to you. Also, i found it useful to kee disposable plastic shot glasses by the toilet and wee into those and then dip it in that way - less messy (plus i found i got up at 6am to go the toilet, but wasn't awake enough to do the test then). Also, as much as my husband wanted to have a baby he did moan about being under pressure on the "fertile days".... but that's part of it isn't it!

Hope that helps - and good luck.... it took me 5 years of trying - but i got there eventually!

Hi Rach879
How's it been going using it? I used it for the first time this morning and am hoping it will work for me. I was trying for just over a year for my first, then lost him at 5 months pregnant and have been trying again since April.
I've read so many good reviews of this product but don't want to get my hopes up too much.

hi rach
we used it and got lucky the first time with our dd. have been using it again for about 4 months and still no luck so im not too sure if we were just really lucky first time. what i would say is its good to use until you get used to realising what signs you have when you ovulate. i think i could spot ovulation now on my own but still use it as a comfort thing really
the very best of luck and let us know how you get on. if you need to ask anything just get in touch xxx

I'm on my first cycle using it and I've found it definately works in terms of picking up ovulation and telling you which days to TTC!

I've just got one too and will be using it for the first time next month, so looking forward to hearing all your experiences and adding my own!
