can i ask a question about side effects of no more pillsl!??

I stopped my marvelon about 3-4 weeks ago! i had been on it about 16 years! my partner and i are seeing how it goes! no rush!! but two days ago i started having symptons of thrush! along side the low blood pressure/ tiredness and even very grumpiness today! Is any of this common after stopping the pills!

Yep, I had thrush not long after stopping the pill (no idea if it was related though)...and also lost about a stone and a half in weight without trying - a complete bonus!

Grumpiness could be PMT, since it's meant to be worse when not on the pill - although I haven't found that to be true for me.

I was on marvelon ten years before coming off it and started having major things going on, with sex drive increasing along with the PMT, and generally feeling hormonal. I did not even think about it before stopping the pill as I had been on it so long, that non-hormonal seemed normal!

Hope all goes well with the ttc!

I have just come off the pill and have been hormonal, had headaches, and felt a bit odd. But my first period (sorry if TMI) was fine and short and not too painful.

I hope I lose a stone and a half too! I put that amount on in the 10 years or so I've been on it!

thank you!! Its only been a month, i have been told i should be back to normal in about 6 months!! did you all get spotting? for a day and then it stopped and then came back a few days later for a day or two??
