Bleed on CD15 of CD27 cycle

Can anyone shed any light on this for me please? TMI alert. I'm usually quite regular and have 3-4 day period, usually with one heavy day. My last period on 10th July was quite heavy with dark clots for 2 days. I'm now CD17. As Ive been TTC for ages, I'm obviously insanely aware of my cycle and after using CBFM I know I ovulate between CD15-17. However, on Saturday, I had a really bad period pain and then passed a small clot. Since then, nothing. I thought I'd come on VERY early, but nothing. I've googled - mad I know - and the causes range from hormone fluctuation caused by ovulation which fits with my cycle days, to other more sinister reasons.
I have no symptoms now except my usual sore boobs post ovulation!
I also have appt with fertility consultant in 7 weeks time. Shall I just ignore it ,buries head in sand>? Advice much appreciated to calm my nerves!

I've read that you can get spotting during ovulation, so it could be that?

Might be worth seeing the doctor just for reassurance.

don't want to raise hopes but it took 2.5yrs to concieve dd1 it was completely unexplained but when i caught with her i had an implanation bleed on day 17 of 27 day cycle. exactly the same happened with dd2. hth x

Hopes raised thanks for your replies. I'm not worrying about it too much now, although it was more than just spotting, it was proper dark red blood I suppose its just wait and see if AF turns up on 4th August.

Its just typical that something out of the ordinary occurs when I'm seeing consultant soon.

Still done the deed every night though, don't want to miss an opportunity

not to muddy the waters further but this happened to me approx 2 weeks before we had fertility appointments booked- loved making that cancellation hone call. fingers crossed x

thanks again for replies. I was really concerned about it but as I said, since then theres been nothing! I still have my usual heavy sore boobs though.

chloebe had it happened to you before??

I'm sort of confident because it happened on my usual 'peak' day, but because its never happened before.... aaarrghhh i'm off to symptom spot

sorry cherry, i meant i had implantation bleeds with both my dds, I had 7 miscarriages and never had implantation bleeds with these, altho one was ectopis explaining why there wasn't one. I got pregnant with dd1 2 weeks before i was due to have fertility testing, i believe that once i relaxed knowing that i was going to get 'help' for my condition my body responded and gave me dd1.

stay positive x

thanks chloebe I'm hoping that - sods law - i get a BFP before my appt!!!

Not sure I'm relaxed though

Dreading appt, as DP has not had SA as my GP refuses because hes already got children and she would only send me for Day 21 test. I'm hoping it wont drag things out... especially as we can't afford to go private for IVF. I'm 38 next May... times a ticking!

x
