I am looking for some advice, I hope someone can help or maybe tell me I am being ridiculous, who knows! The story is that at the beginning of March dh was admitted to hospital as seriously ill with pneumonia. As a result he stayed in for 11 days with some of that time in intensive care being given all manner of intravenous drugs and the like. This was the time that our little bean stopped growing and I had started to mc 3 weeks later. I already have a dd who was conceived on the first time of trying, and the mc pg was also conceived on the first attempt. We have been trying for 3 months now with no luck, which is now making me worry as I was so convinced that we would get back to normal in no time at all. I have been monitoring ovulation and this seems to be following it's normal cycle, but am now thinking that either I or dh need to be checked out. I took 4 weeks in total to mc and wonder if this has had an effect on me. I also worry more that the drugs that dh was given in hosptal have affected his sperm. I haven't mentioned it to him as I'm scared that he will laugh it off and give the macho reaction to any doubts of his ability to perform and so on. I guess we have been spoiled in the last two conception attempts, and now I am 38 am feeling that timeis racing away. Am I being ridiculous?

Hello

You are not being ridiculous, I miscarried the same time as you, but took a bit longer to 'get back to normal'. I fell pregnant on the first attempt too, but so far I haven't got pregnant yet. I don't think there is anything wrong with you at all. Dont forget stress can delay things too, and it sounds like you have had a lot of that! The drugs your DH had are very very unlikely to affect his sperm, but he might just be getting back to full health.

I would like to bet you will get a BFP soon good luck !

Thanks for relpying, I think part of my problem is that I am a control freak and not being in control of so many events of the past 6 months has thrown me a bit..... I was really confident this month as had a nice holiday, felt really relaxed and confident that our efforts would pay off, then a close relative died last week which brought on all the same abdo pains that I had last time. I knew then that this would not be the month. It's just all making me a bit glum now...
